Not sure if this was posted anywhere.  I caught this at the bottom of a transaction article on NFL.com

Quote

Buffalo Bills defensive lineman Efe Obada was fined $6,944 for a hit on Patriots quarterback Mac Jones in Week 16, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported.

New England Patriots offensive lineman Trent Brown was fined $10,300 for unsportsmanlike conduct for his part in a scrum during Week 16's game against the Bills, Pelissero reported. Patriots OL David Andrews was fined $10,300 for unsportsmanlike conduct for taunting in the third quarter against the Bills, Rapoport reported.

Obada clearly whacks him on the head.

It was a clear penalty in the first place, and imho, an obvious candidate for a fine.

No problems with that one really tbh.

It's also on the 'minor' scale iirc as far as these things go.

This season, Obada will make 1.5 million dollars.

So a nearly 7k fine against his salary accounts for not quite 0.5% of his yearly gross income.

To put this into a relatable scenario, that’d be roughly the same percentage impact on his pretax income as a guy who got a $325 speeding ticket who makes 65k a year.

Happy Tax Season!

No fine for Judson’s tripping of Allen?

Curious what was said in the tauntings to warrant a fine.

Judon's trip was the worst thing from that game. Not sure how 2 other Patriots gets fined and he skates by.

Also surprised that Diggs didn't get a fine for his...banter... with the fans.

And while having fun with numbers, notice that Obada will earn, in this year, what the $65K a year guy will earn in twenty three years.

He did not lead with his helmet.  Their face masks collided, IMO a clean tackle that was unavoidable.

I was checking a Pats board, and they were whining incessantly about the refs in both Bills games and how much of an unfair advantage the Bills have.  One said that the Bills are the "NFL darlings" and always get the calls.

They really said that.
