Around the League Preseason Games Thread

TE Kenny Yeboah had a nice day for the Jets and if they are silly enough to cut him the Bills might want to look.  One of his TDs was on a Hail Mary at the end of the game where he outmuscled some people for the ball but his other one was on a very nicely run route where he showed some good deception and speed.

He's been their likely 3rd TE. The guy he was fighting with fumbled the ball on the previous posession.

I know, I saw, it's just very strange for him to be on the field at the end of the game like that.  You'd have to think he will make the team but they are the Jets after all.

Tried to watch the rebroadcast of Pitt/Carolina on NFL Network, but couldn’t last more than five minutes thanks to the brutally bad Steve Smith at analyst.

I truly think they could pull somebody out of the stands, and they would do a better job than him.....he’s that bad!!

QB Ryan Tannehill among nine from Tennessee Titans positive for COVID-19, sources say

https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/32089228/qb-ryan-tannehill-nine-tennessee-titans-positive-covid-19-sources-say

Tannehill is also a whiny B-word.

According to NFL Network HC Vrabel is also in protocol which is not stated in article:

https://www.tennessean.com/story/sports/nfl/titans/2021/08/28/tennessee-titans-chicago-bears-mike-vrabel-covid-10-racey-mcmath/5635412001/

Vrabel is certainly the leader of the Tennessee Tainted.

A day after removing a player from COVID-19 protocols, the Tennessee Titans have also removed a coach from it – but added three more members of the team to protocols.

Titans special teams coach Craig Aukerman, who was in COVID-19 protocols this week, was cleared and will be handling team communication with players in Saturday's preseason finale against the Chicago Bears with coach Mike Vrabel ruled out, the team announced. Sixth-round rookie wide receiver Racey McMath, wide receivers coach Rob Moore and offensive line assistant Jason Houghtaling will all miss the game in COVID-19 protocols.

What? How?

Peterman decided it was better to run ball than throw an interception.  Safety JR Reed hit him and Peterman took offense and retaliated.

There were also three fines issued in the Raiders-Rams game from last weekend. Raiders quarterback Nathan Peterman and Rams defensive back J.R. Reed were each fined $5,556 after picking up unsportsmanlike conduct penalties for an altercation after Reed took Peterman out of bounds at the end of a 24-yard run.

This is the Raiders; it makes him fit in.

Houston commercial just said they have the best tailgating in the NFL... 😮

NOT buying it!

I will say, of the rest of the league, KC is the one place I haven’t been that I’d love to experience.

Tip of the cap to the KC folks out there.

How you feeling about the rookie QB so far? He giving you some hope with what you little you seen so far?

It's a rinse and repeat situation every 3 to 4 years with this team, until we have a 500 season I'm not getting my hopes up. I am however on board with the coaching staff, I think they have a good plan in place, the owners just need to stay out of their way.

I agree with you in reference to Wilson. I mean it's obviously to early to get a read on him I know, however was just curious if he had done enough with the small sample you have seen to at least maybe make you feel optimistic.

As for the bolded, to be fair, after the large buffet plate of wildebeest ***** Gase and co served up for a while....I'd assume Jets fans would likely feel better with just about any new staff at this point lol

I like the kid, and he has shown flashes, and I'm sure he will have his struggles. Is he better than Darnold? Time will tell, our team let Darnold down big time, they can't do that with Wilson.

I was hoping to get another gilmpse of him in the 3rd preseason game.  Giving him the keys to the car without a real drivers test is interesting.  So far he looks real good in the limited reps I have seen.  Gets a real test right out the gate with that Panther's defense.
