Bills fan since 87 Posted July 25, 2021 Share Posted July 25, 2021 (edited) I was 16 and remeber this gamenlike it was yesterday. 51-3 has to be the best of the AFC title games but this one was right up there. To beat Miami, like that in their house. They had to believe it was their time to finally get past us and we systematically choked them out. In the regular season they had crushed us in Buffalo 37-10, while we snuck by 26-20 in Miami. Once again thanks Chandler. He had the talent to win at least one SB but he couldn't get past Buffalo, year after year. This game shows how one team BEATS another team. Miami tried to fumble us the kickoff but got lucky and covered it, then Hansen made that play on 1st down. The Bills kicked a FG on the ensuing drive to go up 13-3. As Steven Wright sez, "It's a small world...but I'd sure hate to paint it." PS: I'd bet a dollar that Tom Olivadotti still wakes up in the middle of the night screaming Thurman Thomas' name. So stayed back to watch the game while everyone else is skiing. That drop by Duper early in the game near the sideline by the Bills 10 where Marino hit him perfectly in stride and he was open was a killer for them....they looked like they never recovered from that on offense PS: I also forgot about a lot of those old commercials!
