Race Car Ya-Yas (Cake), Da Hui (The Offspring), Evelyn, A Modified Dog (Zappa) or Baby Snakes. Two from the Minutemen: You beat me to The Minutemen- that’s a no brainer. First song that came to mind was History Lesson. But if I recall right, that song is 2:03- so it didn’t make cut. I love how succinct Punk is. They get right to point, don’t waste words, and don’t fade away.

Mark80
The best "new" band going. Live shows are simply phenomenal. If you don't know, you should. (Close enough on the last one)

leh-nerd skin-erd
I don’t have a song to add, but the other day a song came on Sirius and on my display, this album cover was posted in unreasonably high def. I have never had acid thrown on me, but I imagine it you do, it hurts and leaves you scarred. This album cover had that impact on me, and this thread reminded me of my pain. Misery loves company. DrW
Here you get three for the price of one. Sadly, they just made one outstanding album; the follow-up 5 years later was crap. And as a bonus

Logic
I'm a Grateful Dead fan, so this question had me searching through their songbook for anything under 3 minutes. Needless to say, you're more likely to find a 30 minute Dead tune than a 3 minute Dead tune. With that being said, here's a classic that fits the "under three" bill. LB3
Many artists have done this song (Dink's Song) , but this is the best rendition, IMO. Done by Oscar Isaac (actor) and Marcus Mumford of Mumford and Sons. Edited July 2, 2020 by LB3
