Does McD survive this year?

They put themselves in hell with their cuts. We aren't the first team to be up against the cap. I also don't think we have a franchise QB now. I just don't see it the same way as others and that's fair.

Nope. But every situation is different. Hence, my complaint about sweeping generalizations. I don't know if JA is a franchise QB, but I do know he is progressing and showing really promising signs. I also know he was never going to be a day 1 franchise qb, and so an immediate rebuild was never going to happen. For our situation, we are right on track.

To be fair, BB has built up enough equity to have some bad games or stupid decisions and get to keep his job......

This isn't just one bad game, they have been like this all year, but they were playing bad teams and getting really lucky that those games ended up as wins.

The defense has played well all year.  They got handled yesterday.  Allen has played well in fourth quarters, but needs to be more  consistent.

Are there issues?  Sure.  My first question is why Singletary doesn't see the field in the first half.  My second question is what happened to the short passing game that was working well.  But to take one bad game yesterday and inflate it into some crap about how they won't win another game and the coach will get fired is just ridiculous and wishful thinking by a guy around here that gnaws on this like some puppy with a chew toy.

Me thinks the Major is either still drunk from last night, or he is a big proponent of day drinking.  I'm not a huge fan of McD, but he is going nowhere.

Like him as a coach but

5-11, 6-10 he's getting the can. So some extreme examples of losing out could mean he's gone.

bandwagon fans?  Fact is Bills have been here before and fact is they haven’t been able to finish the season and collapse.

so?

I hear/read this all the time: references to teams of the past. You did it in this post and you did it in your opening post. Please explain how what happened to any team in the past has any relevance to this team. Seriously, I would love to hear any rational, logical explanation - other than it apparently has made your psyche more fragile.

Sure?

Do you believe in the Culture thing?  The DNA thing?

Do you not see how after the Bye the "vaunted" defense is getting exposed?

So a trend in the City is a trend and that history (collapsing) has spanned how many different coaching staffs?

How many does he get to hire. Their failure is his responsibility too.

Other teams have managed faster rebuilds. Complete teardowns might turn out to be a mistake. I don't think he loses his job, but I think some of that is because of the schedule.

Ah yes. I forgot about Rick Dennison. So does McD go 3 OC's in 4 years? Or does he stay the course with his offensive staff and QB development?

In regards to how the team performs this year, how any team in the past performed has absolutely no relevance. None. Period.

Please stop.

and if season ends at 5-12 or 6-10 will you be screaming for continuity at the coaching staff

If the season ends in 5-12 that would truly be a story considering they only play 16 games?.  But in all seriousness, what made you think when you woke up this am, "hey, it would be a good idea to post one of the dumbest things to troll TBD"?  This takes the cake.  The Bills could lose 5 more games and still have a winning season.  He is not going anywhere.

Bill Belichick didn't with the SB until his 7th season as a head coach.  This includes going 5-11 in his first season as Pats coach the season before he won his first.  Maybe, just maybe, we give the guy that got us to the playoffs with a horrible roster and will most likely get to the playoffs again this year for 2 out of 3 years, a bit of some slack, no?

Sure he has. Just pointing out good teams get blown out too.

It was a 4 point game mid Q3. Needed a stop and score.

Really 4 items swung the game.  Josh’s fumble around the 25, the very uncharacteristic long run allowed on D, and Wentz’s first down runs on third and long to keep a drive going.

This game wasnt a blowout until the defense became a doormat in late Q3 and Q4

DNA is from parents.  McD and Beane have different DNA than , say, Buster Ramsey and Harvey Johnson, or any other former HC and GM you'd care to name.  Thus, your thesis is ridiculous.

We played an insanely injured Philliy team. They've had spans of no tackling at practice over fear that they might get worse. They will struggle to beat any good teams as banged up as they are. Made me wish for Darby opposite White though. Worst trade that we made.

We'll see if that's true by how Philly plays running out the season.

Its Allen not Dabol.  Open your eyes. He is still raw. Locks on to a receiver

Correct. Daboll is not the problem here. If Allen were ever able to hit the occasional deep throw (Foster was wide open yesterday), the conversation surrounding the production from Daboll's offense would be a lot different.
