Charley wiped out my parents 1st FL home in Punta Gorda. Devastating.

Charley was “small” in size, but devastating in intensity! I have a bank CEO buddy (Charlotte State Bank, ironically named Charlie) who made a name for himself and got on National FDIC Boards because he had the foresight to have generators for the the branches of his banks. He got his photo on the front page of all kinds of banking publications.

Yeah, it looks like Hell on Earth! My 85 y/o parents live in Winter Haven and are heading out tomorrow to my sisters’ concrete block home in Crystal River. Folks have already lost 2 homes since retiring and moving to Florida. He’s fed up, wants to sell and move back to WNY. That’s not how this retirement thing is supposed to work..

Small world. My parents lived in Winter Haven for almost 20 yrs. Moved back to Hamburg 2 years  ago. They hate the winter but right now they are happy they did. Take care and be safe.

Yes!! John Shumate and Swen Nater

I spent a night with Swen Nater in Nashville! Great guy! Somehow, I went home with a bag of his dry rub for various meats. Yes, drinks were involved.

bull####.  Buffalo supported the Braves just fine, until John Y Brown started selling off the team by the pound.

We supported them fine in the late 70's but could never afford them now. The NBA blew up in value and salaries. Not to mention always getting ignored by free agents preferring Miami and LA. The Braves would have been toast eventually.

Its all in how the house is built.

1st cousin of my dad lived on one of the barrier island near ft Myers. The eye hit their island. Their home had only cosmetic damage ftom the hurricane. It was a new home.  They didn’t like hurricanes and the next year moved to near Bristol, tn.

Murphy isn’t an NFL player. He looks fine in preseason but against other pros he disappears. Bodine and Teller are or have the capacity to be at least below average borderline guys. Murphy is just a preseason all-star unfortunately.

He has a lifetime 4.9 ypc in the regular season. He's actually played better in the regular season than during pre-season. I agree that he probably would not get anything in trade, but he's been a solid #3 back when given the chance. Give him his due credit; to say he's not an NFL player is a bit unfair and hard to back up when he's played solidly when given the chance in the actual NFL.

You're gonna eat those words, because every time we heard about a Cheats OL going down, somehow we still couldn't touch Brady.  Bodine becomes a Pro Bowler in NE.

I thought it was Todd Bodine.

Actually it was Geoff Bodine!

I understand, but I woulda thought the same about Bodine and Teller.

Still, fair point that RB & center are different supply & demand

I think it really comes to if a team wants to take a risk of claiming someone through the waiver wire or if they are willing to part a late round draft pick.  The needs and desperation of the team dictates the approach.  Good luck to all the Bills who are getting traded because they are in demand.

Any concerns on injuries?
