I just read an article where they said a former writer told a LGBTQ magazine that they are gay, and from what it sounds like he based the relationship off of his own personal one.

 

Sesame street replied that they are just friends and created to show children that people can be close friends. They also said they are puppets who have no sexual orientation......

Doesn't this come up from time to time?

 

It's like the controversy over one of the Teletubbies carrying a "purse".

 

I think some Christian minister started that one...you know...the type who is probably a closet homosexual. 

 

He asserted it was forcing homosexuality on children or some such. 

 

I remember the show creators came back pointing out the absurdity of the claim and clarifying that the object in question was in fact a "magic bag."

Even though Teletubbies had no known sexuality as no one even knew what they were as they weren't 'Human'

 

 

Bert and Ernie are 2 characters created as males, and living together, so obviously this only happens if your homosexual

 

Same must go for Laverne and Shirley, Felix & Oscar, Joey & Chandler, Monica & Rachel, Balki & Cousin Larry, Sheldon & Leonard.........

I think the original concept was they were friends.  It's just convenient now to label them gay.  It's ironic the outfits in society most sensitive to labeling can't help but break out that label maker.

 

Can't wait for someone to be outraged by the sexual conotation of the pinball animation with background vocals by the Pointer Sisters.

..or how Teeny Little Super Guy is oppressed and needs pro bono representation in court agianst the oppressor who owns the kitchen.

My aunt and uncle slept in spread beds.  I enjoyed hooking up and having the girl leave.  Nothing better than having your own bed. 

 

And they are super gay.  As were Peppermint Patty and that other girl who called her sir on Charlie Brown.
