Previewing every Sunday game in NFL Week 3

Each Friday, Andy Benoit will take a quick look at every NFL game to be played over the weekend. Here's his Week 3 Weekend Preview.

BILLS AT VIKINGS

New defensive tackle Sheldon Richardson has looked great so far. His athleticism, which shows in his lower- AND upper-body movement, is as good as anyone’s. Buffalo’s offense has a litany of problems, the biggest being a deficient interior O-line. Richardson should be salivating.

Dan Bailey completes Vikings: Final piece of Super Bowl puzzle?

The balance of power just shifted in the NFL.

One team that entered this season as a contender made a move earlier this week that undoubtedly boosted its Super Bowl odds. A move that cemented its status atop a highly competitive division. A move that demands the attention of opposing conference elites. The kind of move you will look back on when they produce the "2018: A Football Life" and say, "That was it. That was the move. That was when they showed the rest of the league they were not messing around and were indeed all in."

You know exactly the move I'm talking about ...

Oh, sure -- there were some other big moves earlier this week. The Eagles medically cleared Carson Wentz and announced he would start in Week 3. That's pretty good. But they won a Super Bowl with the other guy, so, you know ...

On the 81st anniversary of Tolkein releasing "The Hobbit" I'll offer that if Coach McDermott were a Tolkein  character, he would be an Ent.

not a single “expert” picks us ATS?  Ummm. ok.

That’s enough right there to make me want jump on the Bills

Not surprising. I read that 16 + point dogs are something like 4-54 ATS since the ‘80s. The Bills don’t appear to be capable of beating the spread in this instance.

Well, there’s that...

Come on. He’s obviously an Elf. Dabol is a dwarf. Josh is Aragorn, duh.

A week full of an avalanche of predictions of how the Vikings will be blowing out the Bills has me convinced that this game is going to be very competitive, and probably come down a team winning it or losing it on their final drive.

I haven't been paying much attention to it, but I bet most of the media is disregarding the Bills' 2nd half performance against the Chargers. If the Bills keep playing defense like that, then they can be competitive with any team, I think.

Which team is going to show up? Since it's a road game, I don't have high hopes for an ultra-focused Bills squad.

0-2, they are the team expected to be blown out, 17 point spread, McDermott is no slouch head coach...I just get a feeling the Bills will be a very focused team today.
