The best defenders are big, tall, strong guys because they have to be. Edited July 9, 2018 by Fadingpain

Don't sell England short though, I feel like they could reasonably pull it off against either of the French speaking teams, they are working the ball around very well. Uruguay also broke down the French defense several times so it'll be interesting if they can clean that up or be exposed again.
Blokestradamus
I'm working the late shift on Wednesday so I'll miss the match. Can't even keep my phone on me for updates or I'll get sacked. I've backed Croatia to win from the start so I'll stick with my prediction. To be perfectly honest, I think I need England to lose for my own sanity. The coverage of this is wall-to-wall and I'm getting a litle sick of it

Fadingpain
Somewhat disappointed in the France vs. Belgium game. OK, not great, and not as good as I thought it was going to be. I'm hoping ENG vs. CRO is better. A France vs. England final would be epic. Not like there is any history of bad blood there or anything like that. Fadingpain
Just finished watching Croatia vs. England. Another not great game, but not bad either. After Croatia scored their first goal, England slumped and the game became one sided. I called a goal for Croatia in extra time too. I have France beating Croatia on Sunday. I am just hoping for a good game.

I'd bet Trippier has made himself a lot of money. On 6/21/2018 at 7:49 AM, GoBills808 said: They need Pogba to start asserting himself. Between Griezmann and Kante they have a great collection of complementary talent, plus Mbappe can change a game by himself...they just looked content to be the better team instead of asserting themselves. But overall they just took care of business like they should. Elimination rounds should bring out their best, from a pure talent standpoint I think they have the best team on paper. Stacked at the back with Varane and Umtiti plus that guy Pavard was really solid today, Kante (who's fantastic and a great partner for an offensive-minded midfield Pogba) in the middle, Griezmann w/Giroud up front is a good match...I mean anytime you can bring a guy like Dembele off the bench you know your squad is pretty deep. I also think Croatia is about to give Argentina everything they can handle. Might be the best game of group play. Which smart person said all this way back on June 21st?
