From Dallas PA.  QB at PSU Pro Day.

3 or 4 years ago we would be begging for this guy to be something big like Alex Tanner, Aaron Corp, Joe Licata, Kenny Guiton etc etc etc. It feels good to have an actual big time potential quarterback on this roster for once so I don't have to care about this guy.

Defintely need an extra arm for rookie minicamp so that is good. Also this guy is going to make Josh Allen look like a hall of famer.

I know absolutely nothing about Ryan Zapoticky, three minutes ago was the first time i ever saw his name, and I'm highly confident he's a better NFL prospect than Nathan Peterman. ;)

Yep better than Peterman....61.5% completion percentage..better footwork than Allen.  Nice touch on highlight film deep throws and the out routes in the highlight film are pretty darn impressive. DII strong.  :-)  Maybe they were hiding this guy ----

6' 1" - 205---had almost 1500 career rushing yards and over 7,000 passing yards.  He's a rookie mini-camp arm but he has a chance to convince them not to bring a more heralded 4th arm to camp..Seriously watch his out patterns -- the first couple are impressive.

That actually showed a pretty decent arm. Definitely better prospect. Thanks for that. He could beat Peterman out for PS guy.

That's a pretty foolish thing to say.

I really hope Foster is a diamond in the rough. World class speed is nice to have outside. Especially if you just drafted a QB with a cannon on his shoulder. Bombs away!

I think he ran a 4.41, the same as Proehl.

Not really. Chances are, this guy has a chance. Even if it's 1% he has a chance. Peterman has no chance.. 0%. There are some guys that cannot play in regular season NFL games because of their arm. To me, Peterman is one of those guys. I said it before the Chargers game and it was evident in that game. It was even evident in the final game.

One thing nearly all of these UDFA players have in common: they all come from Power Five (if not powerhouse) programs.

We're taking excellent athletes who may have simply been overshadowed (for one reason or another) by better players at power programs.

Interesting strategy.

Yep.  Few of them are on the "lists" of the best out there...but the ones from Bama are definitely helped by Daboll's insider knowledge.  Really excited about Wallace and Foster.

You may be right, but he didn't throw a pass in the Chargers game. Were you thinking Saints? He never had a chance in that game with the OL. His mistakes were trying to make plays when there were none to be made. Bills were getting abused up front and Peterman paid the price.

McDermott and Beane are all about the small school guys it seems. Need some hunger in that locker room.

Thought  'Bama, 'Zona, Auburn, Baylor, Clemson, Iowa, Penn State, TCU, Vtech were all big football programs?

1 guy from Middle Tennesee, wherever Zapotiky is from - Shippensberg? would qualify?  USF is a large school, but not a Power 5 program?

If this is a trend or a connection with Fuente & Foster, look out for Deshawn McClease as a RB when he comes out.

Whichever Bills college scout had VA tech in his territory last fall is getting a huge bonus, haha

He threw 14 passes in the Chargers game, 5 of them to the Chargers.

Interesting highlight film.  He's putting his whole body into his throws but his feet always seem to be in the right place.  Look at that throw at 4:27.  He knows he's about to get clobbered and he stands in and delivers.  And he's got some wheels.  One thing stood out to me - his WR are almost casual about catching the ball, wouldn't you say?  They are very confident that ball will show up where and when they expect it to.  Hold their hands out and plink! catch.

Good initiative on the kid, too, working himself into PSU's pro day.  Interesting guy.

Agree Hapless.  He likes to go back shoulder as well and the receivers expect it. The highlight throws were all truly highlight throws and there were a lot of them :-)  I was pretty impressed...Nice mechanics, good pocket awareness.

Can he adjust to the speed of the NFL -- doubtful and he is probably at the top of his range-- but if I were in the CFL I would be on the phone....

If nothing else, he could hopefully be a good camp arm for us, to help develop all these young WR.  He seems to have very good timing and placement.  Help us, get himself some new highlight film, good times.

Oh I'm sorry, I didn't realize you were so dense to think that my statement somehow inferred that they are ONLY getting guys from small schools.

Shippensburg is a Division 2 program in Centralish Pennsylvania. Known for having big time offenses. Is he good, or a product of the vaunted Shippensburg offensive system ?

That is what "all about" means to most of us - all or predominately.  I said nothing that implied "only", but the school list of UDFA does appear to contradict that "all about" thing.

How the hell did this kid not get drafted. I know its youtube highlights, but these were more impressive than the kid we drafted.

Yea I agree. We have signed some pretty impressive players.

WR, Robert Foster, Alabama is the most impressive and signing the OL from Iowa, Ike Boettger is impressive also coming off a torn Achilles last year. Could be a good find.
