Last year? Who was the defending NFC champ we beat last year to get us to 4-2? We beat a terrible Cards team, terrible 49ers team, terrible Rams team, and a Pats team on its 3rd QB with a broken throwing thumb.

You said we were 4-2 last year and I said we beat all garbage.

sorry, I meant to say a team that made it to the NFC Championship game the year before. Cards lost to the Panthers.

Wow I wonder if thats the main reason our run game looked so good today

Probably in part. Also in part is Taylor took and completed some shots downfield, Glenn was back, and Tampa doesn't have a very good run defense. Also in part Taylor made some big runs today too.

Shady led a revitalized run game, Deonte Thompson made an immediate impact and these takeaways just keep on coming.

Great showing by the offence all around and yes Taylor was exceptional today.....some great plays and Mccoy finally gets that monkey off his back--monster day for him!......we found our main WR!! But wow our defence took abit of a step back today......

Tre continues to amaze. Thompson looks great and obviously has chemistry with TT. I hate zone coverage for our dbs. Coaches had a bad day. Milano can cover 10x better that Preston. And Marcel is still on a milk carton. Good to see Tyrod make a few extra plays with his feet, must have listened to Vick.

Seemed like an HOUR with visions of the Music City Debacle racing through my mind!

Ditto. Bills kick the go-ahead FG and leave 18 seconds on the clock. This had "sequel" written all over it, but this time I liked the ending.

Everyone should listen to the Tre White interview. It's simultaneously ridiculous and inspiring. He's incredible, blaming himself for giving up the one score late even though it was a perfect pass and pattern and catch. He didn't give much credit to himself for the strip and the fumble recovery because he gave up a TD and thinks he should never give one up. Ever. It's pretty great. You gotta love that guy.

What we learned from Sunday's Week 7 games

Bills 30, Buccaneers 27

1. Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston, who was nursing an AC joint sprain earlier this week, looked comfortable against the Bills on Sunday. Though the Buccaneers' offense was held to field goals in the first half, a O.J. Howard touchdown in the third quarter helped propel the Bucs into comeback mode. In the Week 7 loss, Winston went 32 of 44 for 382 yards passing and three touchdowns. Howard finished with two touchdowns and 98 receiving yards (His first game with two TDs).

2. Bills running back LeSean McCoy took advantage of a struggling Buccaneers defense and racked up 91 yards rushing on 23 carries and 31 yards receiving with two touchdowns. McCoy bewildered the Buccaneers' defense, who one week prior faced a resurged Adrian Peterson. Sunday marked the Bills' best rushing game this year. Today alone, Buffalo had 173 rushing yards, which surpasses what the team has done on the ground all season. McCoy's fumble, however, in the fourth set the Bucs up to tie the game. Lucky for McCoy, that fumble didn't cost Buffalo the game.

3. Bills kicker Stephen Hauschka joins Blair Walsh, Robbie Gould, Justin Tucker and Matt Prater as the only kickers in league history to make 12 straight kicks from 50+ yards following his 52-yard kick early in the fourth.

Tyrod deserves credit, a brewing WR battle, & why McDermott needs to learn from today's win. 7 #Bills observations: http://www.wkbw.com/sports/bills/joe-b-7-observations-from-buffalo-bills-tampa-bay-buccaneers-10_22_17-

Bills MVP: QB Tyrod Taylor
- Taylor’s drive at the end of the game to tie it and his 53 rushing yards helped the Bills get into position to win the game. Deonte Thompson and LeSean McCoy were also considered here.

Bills LVP: CB Shareece Wright
- As soon as he came in the game, the Bills were really struggling to stop James Winston and the Buccaneers passing attack. They better hope EJ Gaines doesn’t have to miss any time, which seems to be a sentence I’ve written way more often than Bills fans would have cared for.

That play call on 3rd and 8 to Taiwan !@#$ing Jones was awful. Like Reggie Bush awful. He should've been stopped, but he juked the Bucs for a first down. Good for him! Bad call, though.

Totally agree, couldn't be happier that it worked but it should have been a bust and there would be 100 threads talking about the play call if he didn't make guys miss.

Stats that Stood Out

Here’s a look at some of the stats that stood out in Buffalo’s 30-27 win over Tampa Bay.

3 – the number of takeaways the Bills registered in Sunday’s win. The scary thing is they could’ve had five total. Micah Hyde was grousing over his dropped INT and the Bills couldn’t come up with the fumble forced by Lorenzo Alexander in the second half.

11 – the number of tackles turned in by Preston Brown, who led the team and now has over 400 for his career.

107 – the receiving yards racked up by newly signed Deonte Thompson.

5.2 – the yards per carry average for Buffalo’s running game.

63% – the conversion rate for the Bills on third down, a season high as they were 10-16.

5 – the number of tackles for loss by Buffalo’s defense, despite having just one sack in the game.

434 – Buffalo’s total net yards in the game.

447 – Tampa Bay’s total net yards in the game.

69 – Tampa’s rushing yardage total.

173 – Buffalo’s rushing yardage total.

447 Tampa Bays total net yards in the game.

69 Tampas rushing yardage total.

173 Buffalos rushing yardage total.

Nice Summary. The 3rd down conversion rate really stands out. Great to see the O put together some extended drives.

Seeing that Thompson's numbers with the Bears would've made him the #1 Bills receiver this year and remembering his connection w Tyrod from 2015 preseason gave some hope. But never expected 100 yd game after just a few practices.

Happy for the win. Frustrated with the points left on the field and how easily Jameis Winston could move the Buccaneers offense at times. Did Ta,pa even have to punt today. Need to clean some stuff up before the Oakland game.

Yeah they punted 2 or 3 times I think...2 of them were in Bills territory

Buffalo 30-27 over Tampa Bay

TB.png Buccaneers: B

If you turn the ball over three times during a game in the NFL, there's a good chance you're going to lose, and that's exactly what the Bucs did on Sunday. Of the three turnovers, the ugliest one came from Adam Humphries, who fumbled the ball away to the Bills with under three minutes left to play in a game that was tied at 27. Humphries' fumble set up the Bills' game-winning field goal. Teams that turn the ball over three or more times are now 3-34 in the NFL this season. The one encouraging thing in this game for the Bucs is that Jameis Winston looked healthy, despite playing with an injured shoulder. Winston threw for 384 yards and three touchdowns. The yardage total was the second highest of his career.

BUF.png Bills: B+

There's only one AFC team that's still undefeated at home, and that team is the Bills. It's fitting that the win came in Buffalo because the Bills' running game looked like a buffalo stampede against the Bucs. The Bills rushed for 173 yards as a team, with 91 yards and two touchdowns coming from LeSean McCoy. The Bills also got a big game from a player they literally signed this week: Deonte Thompson. Thompson learned just enough of the playbook to catch four passes for 107 yards, a total that led all receivers in the game.
