Pine Barrens Mafia
It's no mystery that the mid 80s to the mid 90s are my wheelhouse for music. It was an era of HUGE personalities in rock. Of all of them, very few had more in your face charisma then Peretz Bernstein (Perry Farrell).

section122
Joesixpack that's my era as well. NIN did an acoustic set. If you search youtube for NIN Chicago you will get 43 minutes of pure musical bliss. hearing the acoustic versions of some of their songs make them so much better highly recommend it! BTW LAMP: Going to see Joe Bonamassa in Ithaca. I can't !@#$ing wait!

row_33
When asked by potential fans, the first "album" of Louder Than Bombs is my immediate recommendation. A great collection of EPs and B-sides and whatnot, the other albums were not good bait to find new fans for the group. And of course King Steven himself has to pop off this week about the Hollywood harrassment, and he's not totally wrong, as always.... Will give his new release a spin, thanks for the rec!! ExiledInIllinois
Hey... Pooj, my son said the Dead/Friends show in Detroit was better than the June 30th show @ Wrigley. I didn't ask why, unlike his old man, he had less words (and wisely so). Dude and his gal stayed @ Airbnb in Hamtramck... At an artist's place. Parked there, Uber in and claimed they walked back because of short distance. At least I am raising him to have a set... . Not sure if even I would have done that. Ah, like any place, carry yourself well, and usually never any problems.

I know it might be sacrilege but the Philly show may have been the best Dead show I've seen. Granted my attended shows aren't that great, but this group is killing it each and every show. The tempo is slower but they build to an incredible pace. I'll post an article later about some deadhead saying that it is time to reconsider mayer. He's a beast on stage and the interaction between him and Weir is so much fun. John Mayer is Dead to me!!! ?

This cat can PLAY. He is a genius. Made his money doing the bubblegum crap, but if anyone has seen any of his live footage outside of his early solo shows (i.e. - Crossroads shows), you can see that this mo fo is a legitimate blues player. I'm talking up there with Clapton and SRV ... he's the real deal. I've never been a Dead fan, although I've always respected their talent - which is immense. John Mayer is undoubtedly an incredible addition to an already elite group of musicians. Dead and Co. are now on my list of must sees.
