  1. I don't disagree that if the money isn't a big discrepancy then absolutely we would be in play, and I would love to see him here. Not unreasonable to forego a little bit to play in a big time offense with an elite QB like Josh. I think where I differ with some people here is that I am just of the opinion that I think the discrepancy to what the Bills can or will offer is going to bigger than people think compared to what is on his table. I just believe the market for him will be robust and competitive, so not sure Beane can afford to be as competitive. I will say this though, Beane is, and always will be, seen as a wizard in my eyes. So I won't put it past him to find a creative way to get a guy he covets. But, even so, I just think this particular player seems like a long shot to land here. I would be happy to be wrong about that and see him somehow land here, just today it seems unrealistic given the reasons I stated. I think with a deep WR draft, Beane more likely sounds an affordable vet and then drafts 1 or 2 guys this year. I think if Beane was to make any kind of splash move in FA or in Trade ahead of the draft, odds are higher it would be at RB, CB, DT, or DE than say WR. Then again, you never know with Beane, just my personal opinion of what I think he will do this year.
  2. I remember last year where we thought Bean had some tough decisions to make on who to keep Milano or Williams , I know there were some restructuring / extensions made and all that , but still I don’t remember at the time anyone saying that the salary cap was myth and will be able to keep both !!! I do remember everyone calling Bean a wizard for signing both !!
  3. Is that even possible for us to sign both? That's not Beane being a Wizard, that's him being the sorcerer supreme
  4. Then everyone here will talk about how awful our picks are and that they want Beane fired immediately. Then in 8-12 hours everyone here will be raving about all of the UDFA's we have signed, and that Beane is a wizard.
  5. Please, no more “Beane is a wizard”. He built these offensive and defensive lines and this soft team.
  6. After reading that article on him wanting close to 20 mil per year, AND anything more than a one year deal, please count me in the "no thank you" group. Here's my reasoning. There's still five weeks left in the regular season, plus the playoffs. Alot can happen in that time. McKenzie has really started to turn it on lately. Also, it seems like Gabe is starting to settle down, play better, more consistent football, and win more of Josh's trust. I think injuries had alot to do with his underwhelming play this year, and I'm thinking he's finally starting to get close to 100%. I haven't given up on him becoming our undisputed #2 guy. Even with his inconsistent play this year, he has still shown flashes of being the guy we all envisioned. This may not be a popular opinion, but I honestly feel like bringing in Beckham at this point could prove to be counterproductive. And we already know he's not coming here for cheap. With all the uncertainties surrounding him, I'd much rather stick with what we have than risk giving up an arm and a leg for a guy that we're not even certain is an upgrade over what we have. And as great of a wizard Beane is with the cap, to get Beckham means ultimately letting someone else walk. Just my two cents.
  7. Based on the Tre White pick, Bills fans concluded Beane was a wizard at finding CBs. So far it seems to remain the only data point supporting wizard status.
  8. The TBD clown show is in full effect!! How can you not LOVE this move? First of all getting rid of Moss alone is addition by subtraction. I had high hopes, he sucked, we are on to Cincinnati. All you clowns bellyaching OMG BEANE DOESNT KNOW WHAT HES DOING AT RB can suck it. Only at TBD do fans expect a perfect GM, a perfect QB, a perfect OC, a perfect team every play, every down every time. Now this doesn’t mean Cook sucks, it doesn’t mean Singletary is gone. Not one of you know what McBeane is thinking in terms of how we are going to utilize him. We can only guess and time will tell. So no we didn’t waste a second round pick on Cook. Here’s my completely uninformed opinion which is as much of a guess as the rest of yours - 1) Singletary is going to carry the load and be spelled by Cook 2) Hines is going to start off in the 3rd down roll for both of them All three are going too see the field with Singletary being the bell cow for as much as a RB can be on this team I LOVE this move. Hines has talent, he’s versatile, he plays ST/RB/Slot. He’s a Swiss Army knife which we hope and think Cook turns into. I love this move because it takes the pressure off Cook and allows McBeane to bring him along and not force him into action. YES, I expected more from Cook sooner BUT just like Josh (and no not at Josh’s level so relax) you can see the talent, the potential that’s there. This allows McBeane to bring him along while we are in a SB window but not have to depend on Cook if he’s not ready. Also, the NFL season is a lot longer than college and they don’t want Cook burning out and hitting the rookie wall. I think Singletary gets re-signed and this gives us leverage to get him to take a team friendly deal. I see all 3 of these guys next year with Cook eventually being number one after he packs on a little muscle with the TB12 method. Add in the fact that we have Marlow back as safety insurance and Beane is a friggin WIZARD BTW, the fact that McAfee who knows the colts inside and out loves this moves for the Bills, then lost his sht when he heard the compensation is GOLD
  9. Bean is a wizard. Great trade to move Moss who wasn't playing much anyway.
  10. It's freaking hilarious that "Moss and a 5th" was a running joke around here because nobody REALLY thought Beane was going to get someone else to take Moss. Any way you look at it, our RB group got better, our offense got better, and our team got better. And we have two RBs under contract for the next two years after this one. Give it up for Brandon Beane. The guy is a wizard.
  11. You all told me Moss couldn't be traded. I knew Beane was up to something when he didn't even touch the ball the other night. Beane is a wizard and this is an Upgrade for us. How much to be seen lol
  12. I KNEW he could trade Moss….Beane is a WIZARD!!!
  13. Obviously, a preposterous thread. Beane is a wizard. He has been very calculating with player acquisition, and always had an eye toward succeeding today, but also building a model of sustainable success. I expect nothing at this trade deadline. We already have the best team in the NFL. I want to have that not just this year and next year - but also 5 and 10 years down the line. I want to maximize every single one of Josh Allen's years as a Bill. Because we will never have a QB like this again.
  14. Just curious what others think - because I see that all the time on opposing fans message boards, and I don't relate to it. I think the window will be WIDE open as long as JA is QB, and Beane is GM. I don't need any more proof from either. JA is elite, and Beane seems like a wizard w/ the cap, who knows how to build an A1 team for today, and also keep an eye on building a model for success that's sustainable. We'll lose players like all great teams do, but he is a very good drafter, finds gems in FA, and has a real vision for keeping this team in contention. I think we'll be knocking on the door for a title every year for at least a decade. I tend to lean homer, but I also think this is objective based on how good these guys are at their jobs. What say you?
  15. So, I know Beane is a wizard with the cap. But do we think Edmunds takes a team friendly deal next year? Dude is a balling out. PS-God Bless true 1 tech DTs.
  16. Not for me. I was there, and just the thought of that makes me want to throw up a little. But you are right, the transformation has been nothing short of amazing! Beane is a wizard! .
  17. Joe Schoen is a junior wizard....Toney has not contributed at all (2 catches 23 yards) to a 5-1 start and he may blossom with the Chiefs but Joe got the most out of an unproductive asset for the Giants. The call to Beane today was "I got a 3rd and a 6th for a player that hasn't contributed at all this year." Beane said, "the force is strong with you".
  18. Star L contract was a terrible deal… Isn’t that up to McD? And yet at the time 90 percent here were stroking themselves over what a “wizard” Beane was
  19. I really hope this gets done. Beans is a wizard with contracts and the cap and I remember reading somewhere that Hopkins said he would structure it to make it cap friendly
  20. Meh, don't you know the "Beane is a wizard" movement is dead? When it comes to UFA Beane is a total rando with an objectively terrible decision making track record. When it comes to signing free agents save the wax.......just show us the baby Beane. 😉
  21. That’s great because when we re-sign him to a massive deal we won’t have to give him top WR money. Beane the wizard strikes again.
  22. Not sure either one of our posts were rants, unless that means anything with a paragraph. I don't disagree with any of the upside you mention on the OL. It's absolutely possible that they upgrade to a middle of the pack unit. I just don't see that closing the gap with the elite teams in the NFL. I really don't care what people want to call Kincaid. People want to call him a "big slot" as though that's better than TE2. I'm not sure it is. R4ealistically, we won't be your #3 option int he passing game this year as he'll be splitting opportunities with a regular slot. I also don't believe that they'll be using him exclusively as a pass catcher, so I expect he'll be learning some actual TE responsibilities and playing some of that TE2 role as well. Once a decade you get a rookie TE, regardless of whether or not they're a "big slot" type that has a substantial impact as a rookie. The 10th best season over the last decade in 500 yards for 3 TDs. Just like the o-line, I don't see that being the missing piece. I don't hate Knox, but he's a good not great guy as a receiver. Though I do love watching him stiff arm defenders. Your take on Harty is weird. He's been in the league 4 years and has done nothing as an offensive weapon. If you wan to treat that as untapped potential, fine but you probably wouldn't be saying that if he spent those 4 years on our roster. As for Beane fielding a less than optimal team, he came right out and said that was exactly what he was doing. It's not my opinion, it's his intention “There are some moves that we could do that would say we’re all in for this year and then have a tear down,” Beane said, via the Buffalo News. “We’ve been diligent with the cap to try to avoid that type of situation. It’s not easy, especially when you have a top 10 quarterback, great receiver, Tre White, Von [Miller] and some of these guys. Ultimately, we think we’ve got a plan to continue to go for it year after year and hopefully we can find a way to pull that title home for Buffalo sooner rather than later.” In the last 6 years, 3/6 teams or 50% of them have won by going all-in (Eagles, Bucs, Rams), the other 3 winners were the Mahomes-Reid led Chiefs and the Brady-Belichick led Patriots. If you can emulate the Chiefs and Pats, great, but I think that requires a hard conversation about our coaching staff. McD may be a great guy, but I don't think it's a radical statement to say that he's not a wizard as a coach. You were so close. All you had to do what make it to the next paragraph. Shame.
  23. So excited to keep and sign more rotational DL, can’t have enough money wasted there. WRs are a dime a dozen as we all know, Bean just wizarding again.
  24. I like what Beane the wizard is doing. He is making sure they get a great OL with all these signings. May the best 5 be the starting 5. I don't care who it is, just kick ass 🤙🏼 Go Bills!!
