  1. Funny there’s a thread about this, I often felt the same way for quite some time but thought maybe it was just me. I actually just told my wife the other day that I liked the show much better without her. Now with that being said losing Nate Burleson was a big loss imo.
  2. Okay you'll have to excuse me but i know that Nate has moved on & they had brought in some others to take his spot but has Kate moved on also or is she just taking a break ? I think Sanders would be a good add & i liked M Rob seeing as he's a Bills fan but i only see out takes of the show here i don't watch it as a rule thanks for the update .
  3. I would have to disagree. Just because Nate played football does not make him a great commentator / analyst. In my opinion the other 3 are highly knowledgeable and are among some of the best in the business, and that is why the show is so successful. Nate is average and was actually the least entertaining out of them all. I lost all respect for him when I heard that he patented the saying “toe drag swag” and started suing individuals for using it.
  4. A bit too much is being kind. He is about 3 whole buckets of too much. I find Schrags voice annoying and they don't actually let him do what he is good at which is report they have him in this kinda personality / talking head / opinion giver role he is ill suited for. Kay is fine but she is just fine. Nate was the show.
  5. It is a horrendus show. It was watchable with Nate. It is unwatchable since his departure. Kyle Brandt is the most pointless person on NFL television.
  6. Don't forget that in Allen's rookie season, we had a bottom three OL, probably the worst WR corps in the league, and Late Nate Peterman as the "vet mentor."
  7. Haha, you nailed it. There's a handful of Buffalo media/radio guys that I've come to realize are full of shiz. Nate Geary is one of them.
  8. I thought it would be interesting to put together the all-time Bills teams based on the round the Bills drafted the player. Note: the player had to be drafted by the Bills, so for instance Cornelius Bennett is not on the 1st round team. I put together 3 teams: 1st round, rounds 2 & 3 and rounds 4 or later. Picks are since the AFL/NFL merger. Tell me who I missed: Round 1 QB: Kelly gets the nod because he's in HOF, with Allen closing fast RB: OJ Simpson and Marshawn Lynch WR: Surprisingly not a lot of great choices, Eric Moulds, Lee Evans and Jerry Butler TE: Paul Seymour OT: Also slim pickings: Will Wolford, John Fina OG: Joe D. and Jim Ritcher, honorable mention Ruben Brown Center: Eric Wood DE: Bruce Smith, and then pick from Rousseau, Shaq Lawson, Eric Flowers, Walt Patulski and Al Cowlings. I can't believe I'm saying Rousseau is the 2nd best DE the Bills have ever taken in the 1st round after 1 season. DT: Ed Oliver, Marcel Dareus LB: 4 choices: Shane Conlan for sure, then Edmunds, Tom Ruud or Tom Cousineau. I am taking Edmunds and playing nickel corner because... CB: ...is the most stacked position in round 1. I'm thinking Gilmore, T. White and Winfield, but also have Nate Clements. And next tier down is pretty good too: Derrick Burroughs, T. Smith, J. Burris, JD Williams and Mario Clark S: Henry Jones and Donte Whitner unless you go with John Pitts Rounds 2&3 QB: Joe Ferguson, honorable mention Frank Reich (appropriate he would be the backup on this team) RB: Thurman Thomas, Joe Cribbs, with Travis Henry just missing out FB: Had to put Jim Braxton in here WR: Peerless Price, Robert Woods, but then ? Josh Reed or Chris Burkett TE: Dawson Knox OT: Dion Dawkins, Ken Jones, Joe Devlin (could slide him to G since he played there a bit) OG: Reggie McKenzie, Andy Levitre Center: Bruce Jarvis, though Glen Parker could play there DE: Good options, McDermott would like to rotate these guys: Schobel and Hansen, but Ben Williams and Marcellus Wiley are good ones too. DT: Fred Smerlas, John Parrella LB: Better than the 1st rounders: Darryl Talley, Jim Haslett, Sam Cowart CB: Odomes and Ron Darby S: A. Williams, J. Byrd Rounds 4 and later: This was pretty interesting: QB: James Harris (8th round) RB: Not much to choose from - Sammy Morris, Roland Hooks WR: Andre Reed, Stevie Johnson, Bob Chandler and Gabriel Davis (would you take over Moulds, Evans and Butler?) TE: Jay Riemersma, K. McKellar OT: Howard Ballard and Donnie Green OG: Wyatt Teller and Corbin Lacina Center: Will Grant DE: Leon Seals, Jeff Yeates DT: Kyle Williams, Mike Lodish LB: Amazingly stacked: Matt Milano, Mark Maddox, Luscious Sanford (one of my favorites), Carlton Bailey, Marvcus Patton, Eugene Marve, Angelo Crowell, John Holecek CB: Charles Romes, T. McGee, Taron Johnson S: Kurt Schulz, MArtin Mayhew K: Gary Anderson, Tyler Bass P: John Kidd LS: Dale Hellestrae Special Teams: Mark Pike
  9. Former Bills coach, Rick Dennison, opened the flood gates by getting beat by Nate Odomes on the blocked FG.
  10. Nate ruled. BTW I looked it up, that’s #90 Phil Hansen, #77 Kendrick Office, and #97 Leif Larsen(!) chasing behind.
  11. I might not be alone on this one, but I was sure that Nate Peterman was gonna be the answer. Oh and I listened to this stupid song and believed it was true.
  12. I am a huge McBeane supporter, and I think they take too much criticism at times. The one thing that sticks out to me, and bothers me, is their strange loyalty to players who aren’t getting it done. They seem to just wait too long to cut bait, or to try something different when the move is obvious. It started with Nate Peterman. Like what the hell was that about? Mike Tolbert? Seriously? The guy played way too much. Vlad Ducasse, just was so terrible and worse and worse every week, but he stayed in there. Ramon Humber, Jordan Mills. Philip Gaines, Marshall Newhouse, John Miller. Then came Trent Murphy and Jon Feliciano. Who needs Wyatt Teller when you have Jeremiah Sirles and Brian Winters? They just seem to take too long to make the move when they have younger guys waiting in the wings like Teller, like Bates. Would have been nice to have Brandon Powell returning kicks this year, but he was too busy playing in the Super Bowl. I have a lot of opinions on Tremaine on both sides. But, if they think he is the guy, they should extend him now. If they are on the fence, they need to trade him. What they can’t do is play out a lame duck year.
  13. really?--big deal. So did Nate Peterman.
  14. nate hackett and russell wilson. never saw that one coming
  15. Yeah that’s def the best thing to come of the trade for the bills. Just sucks that there’s another possibly great qb to play in the playoffs. Luckily for us, Nate Hackett is at the helm.
  16. Denver fans in shambles. They really thought Nate Hackett is so special that Rodgers was going to follow him. LOL. Also, this deal isnt that huge. Josh will be making similar money (and even $51M) in a couple years. I'll take Josh everyday, but Rodgers is a pretty good QB too. Would rather give Rodgers $50M/yr than Kirk Cousins $45M/yr.
  17. I get that the juice ain't worth the squeeze sometimes. I think back to when the Eagles signed Vick, knowing there would be scrutiny. But Vick was still a legitimate starter in the league and they felt that it was worth the circus it would bring. Kaep's problem, initially, was that he wanted to be a starter and make starting QB money at a time during which his stock had fallen due to his on-field play. However, I firmly believe that he WAS blackballed, because over the years, many teams went into seasons with starting QBs who were clearly worse than Colin Kaepernick ... including the Bills. And here we are in 2022, seeing a sexual predator get a megadeal. Seeing multiple woman abusers getting big contracts. We've seen players like Tyreek Hill and Joe Mixon beat the daylights out of their girlfriends, then get drafted high a year or two later. Yet someone takes a stand against social injustice ... harming literally not one person on the planet ... and we watch teams start QBs like Nate Peterman, Jarrett Stidham, Tua Tonguoulahla;jhsda;fha, Gardner Minshew, Mason Rudolph, etc. That is pathetic. Again ... I understand not wanting the negative attention (all because he took a knee during a song) and I get that he was not an elite starting QB. But to say that ZERO teams giving him a shot to compete is solely because of his play, to me, is pretty silly.
  18. Nate Peterman looked decent before the real games started too.
  19. Good to have you back, Kirby. Nate Peterman threads aren't the same without you.
  20. Unless the Bills completely implode and fail to be in playoff contention (without an injury to Josh Allen), McDermott stays. Every coach makes questionable calls - think of Pete Carroll throwing the ball on the goal line against NE with Lynch in the backfield - likely costing the Seahawks a SB - but he's been a successful coach for a long time and he (appropriately) kept his job. Remember, McDermott got this team into the playoffs (even if just barely) in a Tyrod Taylor/Nate Peterman season and then has reached new heights with Allen under center. The guy isn't perfect - nobody is - but he's an excellent coach that has won a lot of games.
  21. I'm not sure I'd do it and I love Jordan Poyer. Have been arguing that he is a top end safety (and the better of the two for the Bills) pretty much since his first year here. I remember passionately defending him here after the 2018 season when we had folks arguing the Bills should go after Landon Collins to replace him because he was a better hitter - seriously, that was a debate. The same Landon Collins who 2 years out from signing a 6 year deal is on the street. I can't remember who the debate was with but 1970 is calling that guy and wants its smash mouth football back. However, the Bills have to start looking to the future at the safety spot. We know there has been interest in taking one in round 2 two of the last three seasons. We had it confirmed by insiders that Kyle Dugger was their pick over AJE if he lasted to them in 2020 and then Brandon Beane told us after this last draft that one of the 3 guys they were eyeing at the end of round 2 went between their first trade back and their second, which the Embedded video basically gave away as Bryan Cook the safety out of Cincinnati. Poyer is just turned 31. Hyde will be 32 during the season. Their contracts are the wrong way round in terms of ideal end dates. If I didn't already have Micah here two more years I'd extend Poyer two more years, but Micah is under contract a year longer. They count $15m against the cap in 2022. Micah already counts $10m against the cap next year. Is there a deal where Poyer signs for two more years but keeps his 2023 cap hit down to around $5m so that essentially they cost the same as a pair this year and next? Maybe.... but it would probably mean a mammoth cap charge for him in 2024 when Micah is likely gone otherwise there is no incentive for him to sign. My ideal world would be to move on from Micah after 2022 and Jordan after 2023, but their contracts are the other way around and that makes it tricky. Committing big money to safeties in their 30s, even two as talented and tenured as Poyer and Hyde who were the first pieces of the puzzle in the McDermott era and have been great Bills.... I just can't get myself to a place where I think that is sensible. I was listening to the discussion Howard and Nate had the other morning on my commute today. The Bills have Jordan Poyer, Dawson Knox, Devin Singletary, Tremaine Edmunds, Ed Oliver, Micah Hyde, Gabe Davis and Tyler Bass coming up over the next two offseasons - all of which while carrying deals for Josh, Stef and Von that they have no route out of in that time and Tre and Matt Milano (post-restructure) who are escapable but at a big cost. Now there are always ways you can account for money to make it work in cap terms, but eventually among that group of 8 guys the Bills are going to have to prioritise and to me getting younger and cheaper at safety is one of the simpler solutions. I am persuadable if Jordan has another all-pro level season, but as we stand here today I'd let him walk. And then start the campaign to put him on the wall. Great Bill.
  22. Lol, yeah I mean if one makes more than needs to be in these situations while players are in shorts, 7 on 7 type drills etc, the thing for one to tell themselves is Nate Peterman at least did it when pads were on and into preseason.
  23. Don’t forget Nate Clements, a total phenom of a CB, absolute stud. Jags made a great play to win Week 1 in 2004 against him, and all you heard for weeks was “friggin’ Playmaker”.
  24. So what did they think about McDs first season, when they had your boy Tyrod and Nate peterman leading the team to the playoffs while throwing to Kelvin Benjamin and Zay Jones. The same season everyone proclaimed us to be tanking based on the talent level of the roster. Yet McD broke the playoff drought…..in his first season. I’m sure that carries zero weight….
  25. Maybe. But Nate has no baggage. Kaep was average at best. With his BS why bother? Not like Watson who is really good. The NFL will put with it if the players worth it. CK is not. Never was and never will be.
