  1. Amidst the beer, BBQ, and good holiday humor, today should also be one of somber reflection, if even briefly. For, this day, we humbly honor The Fallen: those who have given their lives--in battle and beyond--to this nation. Their deaths echo across lost futures, devastated families, loved ones, and friends, eternally mournful. But now they're just weathered dog tags, hard tears, and faded flowers, laid across wistful graves. So I'll paraphrase Lincoln and suggest it must be we, the living, who solemnly pay tribute to their service and sacrifice, or, I fear, they will just drift from our memory. Therefore I ask, most respectively: please take a few moments this day, bow your heads, and pray for our lost brothers-and-sisters-in-arms, and those bereaved. V/r, DSK
  2. This is the complimentary football we all feared
  3. It's crazy too because that's literally what teams fear the most about him...
  4. You and I are usually on opposite sides of how to win that SB, but I totally agree that fear of an expensive FA acquisition getting hurt (like Von Miller) should not be a deciding factor when that player doesn't have a history of frequently getting injured.
  5. I was just telling my friend I think this actually helps the case for a garret or Hendrickson. This gives beane free reign to do what he wants with groots money, and he's only 24 that tells me beane probably has no fear kicking the money down the road opening up things now.
  6. I found the language barrier to be intimidating before going to Europe the first time, but my first trip was on a small cruise ship. The cruise aspect with the side excursions booked made me feel more comfortable. I quickly realized my fears were greatly overblown. As one of my sisters said, “You know what I see most of in Europe? Other tourists.” The places we traveled are generally geared to serving us in exchange for our euros. My SIL used to take college kids on trips to Europe for Penn State. She worked with a French lady who splits her time between Paris and NYC and got all the agendas worked out. This lady knows the ropes and we had an amazing trip. I don’t know how much extra that’s cost was on the Paris/Italy trip, but I’d say it was well worth it.
  7. what about head over heels? That is the best tears for fears song!!
  8. Cincinnati because they have zero fear of our team. Why would they? We haven't beaten them. That is a monkey I would like to see this team get off their back - boils down to defense too. The last few meetings they ate up our defense that basically gave up everything underneath and waiting for their timing offense and receivers with good hands to make a mistake - ended up looking like a knife going through butter. They just ate up yards, TOP, and scored on just about every possession. Would like to see if this defense has evolved to challenge the 1st and maybe 2nd reads you have to take away with more elite QB play.
  9. That has been my fear. Going one step further it could mean that Cook's team (agent and brother) advised these actions as a plan to get him out of Buffalo. Unfortunately there could be logic behind that - one is Buffalo has a history of not paying RBs. Two, Buffalo looks to use Cook as a two down back which would limit his payday. And third, Cook's 2024 season seems like it might be hard to beat so 2025 may not be viewed as adding to Cook's value.
  10. For me both Oliver and Rousseau are at the good-not-great level. After that things get interesting. Bosa could return to his former glory. Or he could spend the season on IR. Who knows? I never watched Hoecht very much, but I know that he's a very smart and versatile player who can play DE, DT, and LB. That means when he's on the field, the offense doesn't necessarily know what defensive alignment we're in, assuming we switch him around. He could be an interesting X factor. Ogunjobi seems like he could be a good depth piece though PFF only graded him a 49.4 last season. And then there's the rookies. If everyone is as good as we hope, this will be the best DL we've had in a while. But if our fears materialize (Bosa is hurt, the rookies play like rookies, Hoecht's versatility is misused, Ogunjobi deserves his 40s PFF score, etc.), then our entire defense will struggle. I'm hoping for the best but right now it all feels iffy to me.
  11. With the 47th pick in the 2024 NFL draft, The Arizona Cardinals select: MIKE GREEN DE MARSHALL GM Take: We are clearly going BPA here as we have gone back to back on Edge players in the draft with both Pearce and now Green. There are other holes but this duo with Josh Sweat will instantly strike fear into opposing teams when it comes to our pass rush. I have a first round grade on Green and he will not be forced to be an every down player early for Arizona. @qwksilver and the Dolphins are on the clock
  12. Who knew the true legacy of winning WWII was ensuring that no one from another culture could ever live in Europe. Strange how rebuilding shattered economies and forging global alliances somehow led to people moving around the world - who could’ve seen that coming? The classic defending cultural purity argument. Because nothing says strong national identity like fearing that exposure to different cultures will make one’s own vanish overnight. Perhaps instead of worrying about the so-called “conquering” by diverse groups, we might focus on how such interactions can enrich and strengthen a nation’s cultural tapestry. After all, a confident culture doesn’t fear influence it thrives on it. I bet you’ve spent so much time in London and Paris, soaking in the culture and diversity or is your only experience based on whatever’s trending in your deranged echo chamber on social media?
  13. My biggest fear with the Bills is Beane and McDermott are going to end up having Allen be this generation's version of Dan Marino and Patrick Ewing.
  14. In what way? As a player, during games, or in prep? I think he retires this off season, as he will never start again the NFL, and may not even get a contract offer. If he does, likely a vet minimum- ? He has been done for a while, just kept playing. He will absolutely not strike any fear in the Bills, as they know what he is not capable of now. He should not continue to tarnish his legacy by trying to do something he can no longer do at an adequate level. About $200 million made in salary alone, so he should be able to take a few years off and enjoy his life. Worst move of Brandon's tenure here, hated it the day it happened and still. A violation of the excellent processes he put in place, so it came back to haunt him.
  15. The amount of fear of Kansas City is a little over the top among a large portion of this fan base imo. Just two trades and one that really hasn't even been decided who "the winner" is yet. Even the first one we were able to parlay into T. White and Josh Allen.
  16. You do. Or to be more precise - you and morons like you. For the past 4 years under Sleepy Joe Biden, aided and abetted by a disgraceful activist media, the entire planet - not just the great citizens of the USA - has witnessed the attempted dismantling and mismanagement of everything sacred from the nuclear family to bastardisation of the populace by way of unfettered migration to the undermining of potential for young women to dream big in sports to responsible spending of taxpayers hard earned money. And a million other things. Thanks to DT47, those days are now a thing of the past. No more bureaucratic-controlled Biden autopens or huge grants for the research of transgender behaviour of Guatemalan antelopes. It's game over for those who endorsed colossal Democrat stupidity, contempt of God-fearing American patriots and epic waste. And Elon Musk has played his part in draining the swamp. Strap yourselves in lefty morons - the adults are back in charge!
  17. Gotcha. Well, I tried. I'll let you return to being in paralyzing fear of 2% of the population.
  18. Those pesky facts again from cnbc this am: In April, Treasury yields jumped after U.S. President Donald Trump implemented sweeping “reciprocal tariffs” on international trade partners. The 10-year yield moved above 4.5% and the 30-year rate hit 5%, causing the Trump administration to back off the stiffest tariffs on fears they was causing a financial panic and would raise rates for consumers. But now following the move by Moody’s, the long-term Treasury yields have returned to these levels. Loans for houses, cars and credit cards track these rates. Stock futures were lower as yields surged, with Dow futures down more than 300 points early Monday. Nice try. You can’t absolve trump of the mess he precipitated with his idiotic tariff plan. By your logic, whatever bad happens to the economy is inevitable. BS.
  19. With the Bills obsession with keeping everything in front of them we don't get to see it very often, but even as a rookie when he should have been nervous, instead he was out there committing borderline assault on veteran receivers that were much bigger than him. That boy has no fear and if McDermott allows it, he is a very effective corner playing physically in short areas.
  20. I have a fear and I’m going to express it in the hopes it jinxes it into not happening. My fear is a game in which KC is in total control but not by a wide margin on the scoreboard. the bills are panicking and floundering trying to play catch-up the whole game. The kind of game that feels like slow suffocating.
  21. To be honest I fear bias officiating and little yellow flags.
  22. It’s not the chiefs you need to fear. It’s the chiefs plus the refs
  23. No invasions like this occurred under Trump 45. They happened under 44 and 46, but ok.. Its notable that criticism of Trump’s foreign policy is always based on fear mongering and not actual result.. Because his foreign policy results ranging from no major wars to the Abraham Accords have been incredibly strong.
  24. I love that we just blitzed and didn't fear the consequences
  25. True. And usually that doesn't take much time. The law requires someone claiming citizenship to come forward with some evidence of it. That's usually easy: a certified U.S. birth certificate. Sometimes it's showing that your parents were citizens for a certain amount of time even though you were born abroad. But typically not a big deal. So the "process" isn't necessarily a lengthy trial; it's a fairly quick document inspection. The whole issue is this: the constitution requires "due process." But it doesn't define what kind of process is due. For example, under the law someone who is in the U.S. for under 2 years can be removed expeditiously, without seeing a judge. If he claims asylum, he gets an interview about the nature of that fear. If it isn't a plausible asylum claim, he's gone.
