  1. They only held him back on the final Drive. That's what reasonable people are actually upset with. They crippled our chances with a strategy to kick a long FG instead of going for the win by running 40 seconds off the clock. QB rating also doesn't include his rushing TD's but thats a side point. Do none of the "Anti current Bills QB" people REALLY remember what the difference from a phony QB (ie. All the QB's we've had since an aging Bledsoe - and barely there) and a developing REAL QB looks like. Do you people recall what 3rd down and 7 or more looked like for basically 15 years? Seriously try to remember what it was like and what the difference is. Our kid is developing and gives us a chance even on 3rd and freaking 20! PLUS he gives us a chance every time we need a drive at the end of a game to tie or take the lead. 3rd and more than 6 was a forgone conclusion for YEARS that we were going to be punting. People should look at more film review (you don't have to do it yourself any more) and see what is really happening out there on the field. Josh Allen is developing while the team tries to win games. That's where we are.
  2. It was one errant pass in the short to medium range. My point was that all the Qb's do this. Even Rodgers and the like. Josh needs to work on the deep ball to round out his game. He has done quite well in the short to medium areas.
  3. Those passes suddenly aren't allowed from time to time or are you just saying he wasn't "perfect" in the short areas?
  4. He'll be the guy for his full contract barring a sudden regression that he's not trending toward. Film doesn't lie regardless of what fans with agendas say.
  5. Thanks! Makes me feel better about my suspicion of how it went down there.
  6. could be a read, could be a protection adjustment that takes care of it. Could have built in Hots (including a go route by JB). Thats what I perceived... but then that JB never felt the need to break off to a back shoulder and Allen did, due to the db staying over. Hard to see w/o being on the team.
  7. Its possible and sometimes built in that way but per the video the reads seemed to start to the right.
  8. He never got on top of the the DB and I think that's how Allen Saw it too... Oh well it is what it is - communication needs to be sharp.
  9. Thats a complete pass to Brown's back shoulder if read right by JB They've hooked up on 2 of these this season prior. Beasely was open true but which # read was he? Neither of us know.
  10. 1 - Our QB is developing quite nicely. The film is out there it's really not debatable. HOWEVER, the kid needs to re-learn how to deliver a deep ball QUICK. 2- Beyond that , the team is moving nicely down the field to get a chance to win the game and the coach literally castrates both his QB and his offense by playing for a 50 plus yard FG. That lost any chance at the win right there. Its as simple as that. Nothing else really matters. Kickers are gonna miss. We probably need a new one but that wasn't the big picture cause today.
  11. So basically the article is a confirmation of ... the vast majority of fans don't really know what they are looking at and why things happen the way they do out there on the field. Myself included at times.
  12. Aikman had a couple too many concussions. There are better guards for sure. (Quenton Nelson for one... Zach Martin...)
  13. My concerns as well. But first things first... They've gotta prove that a more cohesive team and organization (us) can beat a more talented team (the Browns) this weekend.
  14. Entirely different regime now so not relevant to the current Bills. But I think we know now there was much dysfunction here in the past.
  15. In what world does last year's offense look remotely close to this year's? So many long and successful 8 plus play drives this season. Today was lost by our D and our fumbles, but this year generally we can move the ball.
  16. yep and then topped it off with the forced fumble!
  17. It doesn't need to be Phillips vs. Star. They are both good at what the are expected to do. They are different styles of DT as well. With all that said, Jordan Phillips had an incredible outing today. We all win.
  18. yeah even after the game during one of the questions, McD answered that he would say Josh had a normal type practice week throwing the ball as opposed to not throwing in team drills as many assumed was part of his "limited" status and "in the protocol" status.
  19. Plus if you listened closely in some of the coach interviews of late, Allen likely didn't actually have a concussion, just was in the protocol.
  20. 6 Game winning drives in 16 career games per WGR 550 post-game host.
  21. Its true... The types of catches that are regularly being made by John Brown are the type of catches you see being made across the league on some of the better teams by multiple receivers on those teams. All had a role to play yesterday (and at other times this season) even though Allen was most responsible for the poor plays out there in that game.
  22. I agree with most of that. Still very encouraged overall by Allen and his improvements from last season too. Once developed (if he gets there of course) he'll be one of the hardest Qb's to defend in the game. You too Simon thx! ? And I forgot to mention - I think Josh may have held the ball a bit longer yesterday also due to the Pats defenders being all over our route combinations. There really weren't a lot of open receivers yesterday (other than the already noted missed outlets a couple times).
  23. It was definitely a shared blame for what happened out there. Josh was certainly the biggest contributor the yesterdays issues on offense , but the pass protection allowed a ton of quick penetration too, and from varied locations along the line all day.
  24. True - Hyde is playing like an All Pro so far this season
  25. Tremaine's best game as a pro in my opinion. Very impressive, especially since he's calling lots of adjustments too.
