  1. I don’t think someone remembers RJ or JP very well. They may have fooled us briefly at first but both were literally unable to process coverages or feel the pass rush. Josh is already miles better than those examples
  2. Edmunds is to me the most underrated, overlooked player on the team. He is already playing like a top 10 LB for today's game...nothing is more important than PD's for a 3 down MLB, and he gets them in bunches. His early career deficiencies in the run game have been vastly improved upon. And he calls the defense.
  3. Will Allen ever become a top 10 NFL QB? Yet to be seen.... However, Allen's massively improved accuracy from Season 1 to Season 2 in the all important (and much more statistically valuable) area of medium range passes clearly shows that improvement in accuracy is absolutely a thing and that he is on a good path in steadily improving and realizing his potential as a small school semi-project QB with massive upside.
  4. All great I agree but all largely blues based. There are worlds of other great players out there every bit as good as them. I'll reiterate that lists like these are stupid. There are no standings or W-L records. Great is Great. Also all great players! Exactly why there can't be rankings once you reach great.
  5. Guitarists cannot be compared like sports teams. There is art and artistry involved. Great ones are just great. Joe Pass? Great. Jimi Herring? Great. Bruce Cockburn? Great Alex Skolnick? Great How many average random humans have even heard of them?
  6. Right....Swept... Nope. Our backups with Matt Barkley at the helm and a 1963 game plan gave them all they could handle. That game would have been over at half time.
  7. maybe Season 1 Josh Allen numbers? Either way, yes! I was there with my Dad. Will never forget that magic couple of minutes!
  8. Barkley's one good game ever has blinded many of us to the need of backup QB. We need to still have a chance of a season if Allen ever goes down. Fromm is a smart distributor of the ball and has a chance to be a good backup. No chance to ever be the starter. Nothing wrong with that.
  9. It's simple. Most corners are 5'11" and under. A select few are 6'0" .... Generally WR's 6'2" are considered "big" or "tall" due to this, as they have an advantage against atleast 90% of the league's corners on jump balls.
  10. Weirdos... we weren’t going to take a rb in the 2nd. What are you thinking? We have a starter ( who was picked in the 3rd) and need a compliment back to take some carries. You wanted this in the 2nd round???? Makes zero sense. None. Youth at DE rotation was our biggest need. Youth at wr is another need for example. Crazy how some people cannot understand These simple concepts
  11. I doubt we're taking a rd2 RB to backup a rd3 RB. Also PLEASE no DT in rd 2. I don't agree at all that we are too old at the position (Oliver, Phillips and the Seatlle guy we got).
  12. I think Fiedler is right that Josh will gain a small advantage in such a season. I just think he chose the wrong reason as to why. Josh has the stability / continuity of the same offensive scheme, coaching staff and probably only one new offensive starter this coming season. The off the cuff stuff not so much.
  13. Best - Kyle Williams (Value) Worst - Aaron Maybin (so.....sooo bad)
  14. I don't think they are even close to comparable type of players at any point. One is a fiery competitor that likes to put the team on his back, throws far more accurately than the other and has a much stronger arm. The other could not execute a short pass (not just coming in but season after season), didn't want the spotlight and was a mellow guy. Both are very good people, I suppose you can count that.
  15. This is straight silliness. Cooks is a quick and stretch the field complimentary wr type who runs basically 2 or 3 types of routes. With him you are paying for his speed. Diggs is a complete and polished, stronger all-around primary wr type who runs the whole route tree and is a threat anywhere on the field. All you gotta do is watch both play. It’s simple. Doesn’t take a coach’s eye either.
  16. Value for backup Rb's (what we need) isn't til rd 4 or 5 so I really like the Edwards pick in the 3rd. Thats where the WR Value is this year too (2nd and 3rd)
  17. It was right after this game that I recall thinking that we were looking at an all-time great team. Not just a playoff contender. Not just a Super Bowl contender. But one that would leave their mark in history as a team that affected the entire decade in the NFL.
  18. I think with this move maybe Ty Nsekhe will back up at LT while Ford and Williams compete for RT. Nsekhe is good on both sides when healthy but he's a better LT overall.
  19. He possibly can't because Feliciano is better at guard (so far) than Ford. But still it certainly creates good competition!
  20. Facts...and also this ^^ is how the team would treat it too. Because they understand who and what he is and and what he can be.
  21. I was hoping for this. He's a valuable player in spite of being a notch down on the depth chart. Very versatile, good quick change of direction, makes explosive plays, good in the lateral deception game this offense likes to employ...
  22. Shhhhhhhhhhh None of those things count! ?
  23. 2019 Stats say that Lamar Jackson is a great passer. He just isn't. It's pretty clear. However as a complete threat he has to be taken very seriously by every team he goes up against. An eye that has knowledge of or experience with the game of football can see performance better and more consistently predict success. Josh was an unpolished piece of clay with many rare tools and a great work ethic and no experience against major top competition when we picked him.If his impovement level from year 1 to year 2 is mirrored from year 2 to 3, there won't really be much left to question, regardless of any statistical measure you try to argue against him with. He's already easily in the top 20 starting QB's if you look at the whole picture and what matters in the league in this era of QB.
  24. strange that it was asked, but it was a combo of factors very clearly. Age - He's certainly lost any burst to the edge he might have had. He's still very strong but there is no acceleration. Scheme - As mentioned by others, he played in a lot of 2 back/2 TE sets where we were trying to gain one yard, and other similar situations. For anyone to say it was not a combination of both, you are missing the big picture.
