Bills vs Raiders—— Pick the score
34-78-83 replied to SlimShady'sSpaceForce's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bills 36 LV 19 -
1. Mahomes..... ... ... ... .. . 2. Wilson 3. Rodgers 4. Big Ben 5. Brady 6. Brees 7. Josh Allen 8. Dak If this makes any sense with the lines through Brady and Brees.

Predict final win tally for AFCE teams.

who knows, but just for giggles... Bills 11 Pats 11 Dolphins 7 Jets 3 -
Davis has exceeded early expectations for sure! What I am blown away by here is just how many of these young receivers are producing already. Wow! It's gotta be an all time record in rookie WR productivity.

Hyde and Poyer comprise what is widely discussed and agreed upon in NFL circles as (still) one of the best safety combos on any team in the league. It is their efforts in making adjustments, assigning and disguising coverage pre-snap that give fits to coaches like Bill Belichick among others. I think physically Hyde is certainly dropping off a little, but he hasn't "hit the wall" and become a liability, and his intelligence makes him so valuable still on the field.

Cody Ford at LG; Quinton Spain benched

Many felt JF was our best lineman last year. I am surprised by this thought of yours. Or are you saying the others are just very solid now and JF goes to the low spot on the totem pole? -
Josh Allen - week THREE report card
34-78-83 replied to rayray808's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
no, we don't. We need to enjoy the ride while the kid continues to progress. He is on track/ahead of schedule. His floor has risen to "Playoff caliber QB" and his ceiling remains "Next guy after Mahomes". -
Tremaine Edmunds and the run game
34-78-83 replied to BillsFan130's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I noted that Edmunds started the game very well (some big thumping hits early on) and then quickly fatigued and found himself "chasing" the rest of the game a played out of position trying to make up for it and got abused. Not sure if the shoulder also played a role. -
How can we improve this defence?
34-78-83 replied to Niagara Dude's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd say don't worry about it. The league has changed and our D is plenty good enough to support a now productive offense. We literally allowed them to Run today in order to take away play action passes and the screen game. It was a very modern strategy and requires (again) having an offense that can produce. We are just not used to this as Bills fans. -

Football Outsiders Quick Reads on Josh Allen

This x1000. To add they also don't factor in scheme or weather well enough. -
I was happy to see him make that catch too! One of this regime's few blown picks, but glad he's still in the league.

Thank You. it's 4-3 MLB traditionalists that have a hard time realizing that Edmunds is in the perfect position for how they (our defensive coaches) like to play defense in their (most downs) 4-2-5/5-2-4 scheme. Linebackers always need to be good tacklers, etc. of course but the most important trait they require in their LB's in this defense is range , intellect and coverage ability. Just watch how we play defense. A quick look at the 1st couple drives of yesterday's game will show you that either of Edmunds and Milano can be found 15-20 yards down field gluing to a man or defending a zone. They know its a passing league first and foremost. The run fits are certainly still important and Edmunds still over-runs plays at times but he's solid enough vs. the run and INSANELY AMAZING in man and zone pass coverage and coordinating the defense that it works very well for the Bills.

We learned a Screen Game over the offseason
34-78-83 replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
surprising indeed! and a pleasant one. They were well executed. -
Roberts is at the very top of his craft. Very secure, has good vision and always a threat to break it big. Glad they kept him onboard.

I've listened to most of this morning on WGR and there has been a ton of positive and affirmation that Allen played a very good game and Dabol had a very good plan. Some debate about how many QB runs were called sure, but mixed with a lot of fair and reasoned takes. You must have caught a special 40 minute pocket

Why are the Bills sticking with such a poor punter?
34-78-83 replied to BobbyC81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
if you're punting from the midfield area often, punts gonna be shorter. Stats are fun. With that said, he DOES need to be more consistent. -

Barnwell - Bills biggest achilles heel
34-78-83 replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
needs to improve vs. were never even remotely able to process defenses (RJ and JP) and playing scared is a big step. Its the comparison to those 2 chumps that is way off base here. -
Barnwell - Bills biggest achilles heel
34-78-83 replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don’t think someone remembers RJ or JP very well. They may have fooled us briefly at first but both were literally unable to process coverages or feel the pass rush. Josh is already miles better than those examples -
Edmunds is to me the most underrated, overlooked player on the team. He is already playing like a top 10 LB for today's game...nothing is more important than PD's for a 3 down MLB, and he gets them in bunches. His early career deficiencies in the run game have been vastly improved upon. And he calls the defense.

Will Allen ever become a top 10 NFL QB? Yet to be seen.... However, Allen's massively improved accuracy from Season 1 to Season 2 in the all important (and much more statistically valuable) area of medium range passes clearly shows that improvement in accuracy is absolutely a thing and that he is on a good path in steadily improving and realizing his potential as a small school semi-project QB with massive upside.

All great I agree but all largely blues based. There are worlds of other great players out there every bit as good as them. I'll reiterate that lists like these are stupid. There are no standings or W-L records. Great is Great. Also all great players! Exactly why there can't be rankings once you reach great.
