  1. Wha wha wha whaaaaatt?????? That was an absolute thing of beauty. Perfection. Reminded me of the PATS in Brady's prime.
  2. Stats can really only be compared against other stats during the context of the season they are part of. The Bills D has gone from awful early on to slightly above average in the 2020 league, statistically. I tend to judge by watching the actual game and understanding what the plan is against the opponent of the week, and knowing who is playing and who is not, and then follow it with watching film reviews. That's just me. When arguments are all based on points and yards and other numbers with no meat (ie. talk about whats happening on the field), it really shouldn't sway an argument much. It's more of a piece of information that could be used within an argument to help prove whatever the point is. Simms does a good job of analysis based on what is occurring on the field.
  3. The other massively encouraging thing about McD is that he has shown time and time again the willingness to grow and change (ie. data analysis based game day decision making, cutting the chord early on a "mistake" player, ). He is developing just like our QB is.
  4. To me, both are worthy HOF'ers. It's not down to one or the either either, so that's convenient. With a gun to my head I'd choose Faneca because he was the best or top 2 in his position for a very long run.
  5. Shaw, you are one of my favorite posters. Regarding the Josh point. Josh's following abilities easily make him a top 5 QB in the NFL today. - avoid the rush - extend plays - throw on time and on target with both velocity and touch sometimes even while under contact or off his base - read defenses and make adjustments - run the ball for large chunks of yardage in both scramble situations and designed runs - utilize the entire field on any given play, making the defense stay honest or pay - operate an offense with no running game balance - lead his team on game tying or leading drives when down Watch more of the all 22 breakdowns and compare to his peers. Cover1 does some really good ones that break Josh down weekly. Here's a fun look at the season so far for Josh : Josh's season to date
  6. 2 - Steve Christie 12 - Jim Kelly (17 is closing fast though!) 20 - Joe Cribbs 34 - Thurman 40 - Rob Riddick 56 - Sam Cowart 67 - Kent Hull 78 - Bruce 83 - Andre 97 - Cornelius Bennett
  7. Lock is so bad.... and a nice long 22 yard drive for the Phins. These might end up being the paper tigers of the year, only to get throttled in the Playoffs.
  8. More horse shoes up Miami's butt... Turnover - 22 yd drive. And Lock is awful
  9. Josh is one of about 3 QB's in the league that can realistically make that throw he made to Diggs. And the catch was a thing of beauty too. I take some solace in that our play was designed. The hail mary was ...well... a hail mary
  10. Ain't nobody remotely close to taking the mantle from Bruce (and Reggie White for that matter) in this entire generation of football players. It's crazy how all-time good he was and how unique. Clowney is meh.
  11. I’m kinda partial to the Nate Odomes sideline strip and score vs the Raiders on MNF ( or was it SNF?)
  12. throwing a player to the ground does not constitute a hold. Having a hold of the player outside the chest area does, but generally doesn't get called if the lineman lets go in time.
  13. Part of that is also because of a heavy constant sleet in one game (KC) and 20-40 mph gusts in another (yesterday vs NE).
  14. Something I learned from watching one of the Steelers SuperBowl runs unfold where they took a wildcard spot and won it all... Each game is its own unique entity. Not a drop of energy by players or game coaches needs to be spent (other then scouts etc.) on any other opponent than the next one on the schedule. Its the "taking it one game a t a time" cliche but it hold so true. Knowing that the Bills have ENOUGH talent overall to at least hang with any team, this approach will give them a chance to beat any team they face.
  15. Which guy is the middle when there are 2 LB's playing 50 plays per game?
  16. 20 to 40 mph gusts and 7 Db's.... Throwing any more than minimally yesterday would have been literally the worst possible approach to offense yesterday. Its very elementary, and won't make traditional stats look like people want them to look. Bonus - Run blocking was extremely effective yesterday, and our 2 good Rb's (who have been good the whole time by the way) went off. Enjoy the win
  17. Seems an agenda can blind some eyes to film which does not lie. As a side note, I bet Edmunds will often be in the QB Spy role this weekend vs. NE. Probably some back side escape concerns with Newton I'd imagine.
  18. DDCC = Dang Dude, Come Clean 🤣
  19. They also ignore that you don't really have a "MLB" when you play 85% of your downs with 2 LB's in the Buffalo defensive scheme.
  20. BB.....Cut your losses dude. Nicest way I can put it.
  21. The film says that Singletary is fine. It’s the blocking/ run scheme/ pre snap positioning that has shown to be the issue so far. I think both he and Moss will be fine here for a number of years. Gotta get it figured out though
  22. Knox ruled out so...
  23. Barring injuries, total inexperience or behind the scenes drama that we'll never be privy to, there aren't very many (if any) coaches on ANY NFL team let alone the Bills, who will have a better player on the bench behind a more flawed player. The exceptions are when the flawed player improves or the entrenched player regresses over time.
  24. not sure how that is relevant to the comment I was responding to, which was about the effectiveness of the running game, not what they should do instead. But yeah he has proven to be a reliable receiver too at times...
