  1. this thread is kinda meh, but it was good to see Sammy contribute out there yesterday for once.
  2. those that think hes a poor tackler should be very encouraged by his game vs. Miami. Surely a good sign.
  3. NE ran the edge on us with 22 and with 13 personnel. While Edmunds indeed had one of his worst games (or worst game) vs. them, much of the damage NE did was on the edge, where scheme or other players would also be responsible.
  4. This current regime clearly doesn't make any moves for the sake of fans ( thankfully ). What makes you think they would make such a move now? You need to cleanse your assumptions based on the past
  5. A very encouraging game of redemption for young Mr. Edmunds today! He was notably more physical today and not as hesitant on reads. Wrapped up well and used the wingspan at times.
  6. Just an incredible game to be at. We decided to go at the last minute and what a great decision that was. Not only was it great for Kyle and us fans, but it was a great day for the continued development of Allen, Edmund's, Lawson, Zay and more! All those guys played extremely well.

  8. I think they meant that in their minds, a developing QB gets one year of excuses then is on the hook 100% for results in year 2....which is not how the teams necessarily look at it at all.
  9. I know these guys are nearly unbearable with the fake timelines and standards they come up with as if the teams treat them the same way.
  10. Brady did less for his team than our Edmunds did today, so I suppose I'd have to agree. LOL
  11. Edmunds has developed in coverage and on passing plays through the year. I like him most on 3rd down as the year has gone on. Hasn't shown much consistency or improvement at all vs. the run, however. Adding bulk and experience will give him a chance in that area. It needs to improve for sure...
  12. I think Edmunds will be fine but man he sure played poorly today.
  13. horrible pass by Allen ... oh boy this is ugly
  14. perfect throw. gotta come up with that
  15. Yes, amongst the hundreds of qualified analysts out there that also do film review and talk /write about it they are 2 of them. How would you vote? Who did AZ want to draft in the 1st place? Why play hard-core contrarian on this with such gusto?
  16. Those are 2 random dudes. Plenty feel otherwise I am sure. If all else was equal with the franchises, would anyone currently take Rosen over Allen? I doubt more than 20% would. No need to continue this further really. Cover1 does excellent film reviews...just a side comment
  17. I already understood that and I just disagree and I don't think film is needed to see it. I appreciate you trying to help with Greg's angle but I've heard him enough to know his general overview and philosophy. And his measure is " based on how the QBs have looked on film so far". So maybe his film is showing him that Rosen can turn into a Bradford type passer. That's just dandy. And I'll be happy with a guy who is athletic and sturdy as hell, throws mostly (will never be perfect here but plenty to succeed it appears) accurate lasers all over the width and depth of the field and generally scares the living crap out of defenses... The non-film related portion (infectious and positive, confident vibe, already a leader) would pull Josh even further away at this stage of their development.
  18. I don't disagree with any of that. However, our guy is dealing with an equally poor line and worse skill positions. Can't rank Rosen #2 "so far" based on that. Also, In listening/reading Rosenthal for a few years - he looks at execution of the short west coast offense as the ideal level of quarterbacking (ie Sam Bradford on one of his good days). He's still a respectable analyst and all that... he's just wrong here and its just because he's hanging on to what he said previously about Allen. It's tough for folks to let go.
  19. My implication was that it doesn't take watching on film to see that Rosen is severely struggling with a lot of what he was supposed to be polished at, and that he is limited due to lack of mobility and the arm seems less impressive than in college so far. He's right about Mayfiled of course but that's easy... Film or no film, there's enough out there for people to see that Baker is killing it, Allen has steadily improved throughout the season, Darnold has had moments, and Jackson can win games but needs work passing as well.
  20. I just can't fathom how he could justify that order. Horrible. There is no chance Rosen has looked 2nd best on film.
  21. Wheres the postgame thread for today? :)
