  1. Try listening to the audio instead of just reading the text commentary before panties get into a wad. It's available in like 20 different places. Much like (for many others) - Try watching the game instead of making assumptions off of the box score or game log.
  2. 9-12 on 3rd down today with I believe 6 conversions. I'd say that makes what you said inaccurate, at least for today.
  3. I get the open approach and respect it. However, I see opinionated debates over subject matter that is not subjective as a waste of time and a sign of lacking in understanding on the topic. (like attempting to claim that momentum and culture don't exist or influence statistics and outcomes in football, when every person who's ever played at any level of organized football has experienced both.)
  4. for all the wrong football based assumptions, comparisons and insights you gain listening to too much Shopp, you can at least get them corrected on such outlets as cover1...
  5. How can they be reasonable positions if they are wrong? There is not one person that ever played football for any length of time that thinks culture and momentum are not factors in every game.
  6. This discussion was hot for a while yesterday ....
  7. Its cliche maybe but lately it feels like some point in 1986 (Maybe the opener even vs. NYJ) with Kelly. You didn't know how good he was going to be but you knew he was always going to be in the mix, seen as a threat by opponents and be able to keep you in games.
  8. No doubt! And I shouldn't have generalized about ALL writers ...
  9. Gotta love writers - That darn ill-advised Hail Mary INT Oh Noooooooo!
  10. just examples. Cite the running examples please then? Robert Griffin annnnnnnnddddd? Oh and how did Josh Allen get hurt this year? In the pocket Some are also comparing slight, skinny legged players (RG3) to a country -strong JA. Theres a difference out there.
  11. Josh is avoiding the open field hits on his runs In the pocket Qb's are totally exposed and vulnerable. Think of the major QB injuries we remember through history. For every 1 Robert Griffin example there are 6 Brady's (pocket), Rodgers (pocket), Mannings (pocket), Palmer (pocket)
  12. No - the injuries occur most when a player is held up in the pocket or rolled up on.. Runs DO carry a higher concussion potential. But the major lower body, arm and shoulder injuries mostly occur in the pocket
  13. yes, and a higher chance of it happening in the pocket
  14. You ever try launching a 35 yard pass across your body to the opposite side of the field after running for you like for 5 seconds in circles? More often than not this is the way it comes out. The incomplete pass was indeed partially due to this (you are right there) Clay still had a good chance to catch it and probably should have. There is no single point of blame.
  15. Both. But the bad pass has more valid reasons for it.
  16. How dare Josh have ran 30 yds in circles prior to throwing this pass across his body from the opposite side of the field and not put it right on the money!
  17. This is soooo completely wrong. Understand the attempt at a point but... no Running is going to remain part of Joshs game for most of his career. And thats ok. He is bigger, stronger and more athletic that most of the players he is facing. Should be a running threat well into his 30's
  18. never mind lol Horrible catch attempt either way
  19. really? read it. Its about Clay's knees and being in on 4th and 11
  20. Badol makes a good point about personnel , but still a REALLY poor effort to catch that pass by Clay.
  21. forget the bobble. Interference occured
  22. I'd prefer not to tie up that much salary in RB. Not with the rules as they currently exist.
  23. Jerry Rice says Yup. Nobody ever really caught him from behind even though he ran a 4.6
