Was there with my Dad. We remember it in full incredible detail and both acknowledged it as the day our team "arrived" as a true contender that could never be counted out. They proved it again of course the following week vs. the Raiders.

Is your Dad the reason you’re a Bills fan?
34-78-83 replied to Another Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes. Dad and Mom grew up in Buf (I was just born there) and Dad took me to my 1st game when I was 8 in 1979 against the Bears when Walter Payton flipped over our entire D-Line and had the only score of the game. -

Andre Reed and Jerry Rice were both 4.5 ers too -
youre right- Now Rap, Shefter AND Chris Simms have said it. AZ wanted Allen>Rosen and settled for Rosen after we moved up for Allen.

Called it as well Great pick IMO -
and especially kids in sports together. My boy has been in Basketball all his life and in HS Varsity, and there's always been friendly back and forth with he and his teammates/friends of other races. From the outside you'd think these kids were in the 1940's and all racist with some of the comments I hear/ see. But they truly like each other and get along just fine.

AZ wanted Allen 1st - per Rapoport

RD 1, Pick 16: Tremaine Edmunds OLB - Virginia Tech

textbook hitter. Looks like a longer TKO. Love it. -
I liked Rosen better too. But the AZ Cardinals didn't unless Rapoport was lying. That should tell us both something. " Rapoport said AZ was interested to trade up and get Allen". That's kind of a game/set/match

LaCanfora: Bills Doubling Back on Rosen

Rosen or Darnold? Who's your pick?
34-78-83 replied to ColdFront_USAF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't mind Allen. I think he deserves to go in the 1st round, but in back half specifically and only because of his accuracy. Like everything else about him. -

I've got Darnold by a hair. Really like Rosen too though... My top 6 are a little different than some: Darnold Rosen Mayfield Rudolph Allen Jackson -
I like Rudolph a LOT, however as a prospect I'm still realistic that he's at best 3rd on the list, and likely about 5th. Rosen is for sure either the 1st or 2nd prospect based on all the factors that scouts and GMs typically look for. There's also a lot of irresponsible comparisons going on in this thread to prior years QBs. ie.. Someone said Rudolph was this year's Trent Edwards, when as prospects they couldn't be further apart.

[Vague Title]You don't know squat
34-78-83 replied to oldmanfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He's still 100% right though (even though you've correctly categorized his type of post). And his point should have the effect of ringing true to legions of message board posters when they read it. It should be something that at least sticks in the back of their heads as they (we) play out their male version of a soap opera pretending they know better or that the Bills should be able to know and even control the actions of other NFL teams. -
Even the Jets don’t want Josh Allen...Lol

Possibly... I kinda see Darnold's ceiling as a Kurt Warner / "Good years" Carson Palmer type. -

If Allen doesn't bust his ceiling is Matt Stafford. That's a pretty good QB. Mind you I would prefer the Bills not drafting Allen but none of us have much idea if ANY of these guys will make it or bust. The guys here on TBD that make statements like fact about these QB's are just not getting it, and probably never will. Worry less about being right and more about being a knowledgeable football fan and Bills fan. Nobody cares if you were right about which QB turns out. It won't give you any cred, even in such an online community. -
What is it you're looking for? DT's that fill the plugger role never make the message board HOF's but they're extremely important of course.

After trading with the Giants the Bills take
34-78-83 replied to mead107's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Any of the 3 of Darnold, Rosen and Mayfield could end up being the guy. As long as it's one of them (in the OP's scenario) I'd be happy. None of us have any idea which one or 2 of these guys will become great NFL players. -
Ima stay out of this fun about TT other than for one point to agree with... Badol is 100% right about fans and media now having access to All 22 tape and the scary invalid conclusions they make from it.

Jags release RB Chris Ivory - Update! Visited Bills 2/26

His Dad was one of the worst draft picks in Bills history. Could be worth a flyer that the coin could land on the other side this time -
Donald Jones to exit 'John Murphy Show'

Sal would be the best in my opinion, but I think he likes the more meaningful gigs he currently has mixed with spots here and there on the radio. Some may not like his tone at times, but he is usually right, has very logical takes, calls out the idiots (and there's a lot of that in the caller community) and knows the game well.
