WR's making that much should have more impact. Also, I still think that this OC simply wouldn't scheme him enough or Waddle. What are Keon’s numbers the last couple weeks? What are they today? If the sticking point was, as some are reporting on twitter, the year of the draft pick, we can’t absolutely blame Beane. Quote
davefan66 Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago Maybe the 2026 first was the better choice?? 1 Quote

That's the cost of waiting until the last minute to make a move. Even so if Miami wanted a 2026 1st you just have to do it for a player like that. What is the sense in drawing a line in the sand? I worry that the tagline of this regime will end up being "they never really went for it." It was so confusing why we weren’t in on DK when he could have been had for relatively cheap. He went for a 2 and a 7 we could have easily beat that. But Beane likely bet on Palmer and Keon to take a step, for Samuel to rebound and all of them have simply stunk. What a colossal failure by Beane . I’ve been pounding the table even when we had Diggs to go out and get a true young elite WR. Beane has failed over and over again 1 Quote

Obviously 2011 is the gold standard but that draft may be legendary as well. AJ Green and J Jones and that's pretty much it. 2020 will be the gold standard: Jeudy, Lamb, Jefferson, Higgins, even Pittman. Quote

I think he would've improved this scheme by creating space a la Cooper and then you have a high upside guy in place to work with for the forseeable future. Waddle was super motivated today, played well. I guess we will never know. We are almost in a chicken and egg situation with Joe Brady and boundary WR's. 1 Quote

I think the dolphins weren’t going to trade with us at all. Those in-division trades are hard even when you have the right price point. Agree with one of the posters that some of the better deals were in our own division and the risk of having a trade like that play out for a division rival would have been pretty hard for those teams to explain to their fan bases. 1 Quote
HamptonBillsfan Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago That’s total BS and anyone who’s conscious knows it. If he targeted players in his own division and he thought they would not be overpriced, he’s a fool. 1 1 Quote

We could say what will happen when teams take away Kelsey. You can say this for any team in the league. What will we do? We’ll either load up the O line and batter teams into submission on the run. Or we’ll use the 3 TEs. Or we’ll get throws to Shakir. Or Palmer. Or whatever Brady cooks up. Why assume other teams can slow down the #1 offense in the league in yards/game? 8 hours ago, oldmanfan said: Did I say having another top end we would be a bad thing? No. His job is to try and strengthen the team. But meanwhile they have a top ranked offense, and all you can say is that some team down the road will stop them. Based on what? This aged like a wet fart... Quote

Because it has happened 3 times this year now. 9 hours ago, oldmanfan said: So in the off-season the issue was getting a WR that could get separation. Beane brings in Palmer. Then it was a guy with speed. He brings in Moore. We can talk about the draft. When you draft low you don’t get a shot at the top of the WR class. And we focused on D, which showed up pretty well at least last weekend against Mahomes. You could argue we could have traded for a big time WR in the off-season but off-season is basically free agents and draft. Trades happen at the trade deadline and it seems Beane was very active but couldn’t find a partner. Meanwhile the team is # 1 in yards per game based on an offense centered around the run and Josh finding the right guy in the short to intermediate zones. And it’s working. Are fans more interested in a productive offense, or watching Josh chuck it 50 yards down the field? For the last time, it has nothing to do with Josh chucking the ball 50 yards downfield. Quote

You can't possibly be watching other top teams in the NFL and think we have a top offense. IDGAF what some yardage stats say or some PPG stats that is skewed. We have 3 games now where our offense was garbage. We don't have a good passing game. We are one dimensional and anyone that shuts down that one dimension, like today, is going to shut down our "top offense." Quote
