Big Blitz Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago (edited) Number of Maye 300 yard games - applying early criticism of Josh Allen rules: ZERO Number of games with more then 2 TD passes ZERO Not saying he isn’t good. But I’m not participating in the NFL’s narrative at the moment due to how ***king ridiculous that was last night. Edited 2 hours ago by Big Blitz Quote

I remember a lot of people thinking he was a knuckle head because he would throw like 2-3 bad interceptions against good/great teams. But I don’t remember anyone saying what you posted being a big deal. But I’m not in Buffalo so.. Quote

They (your defense) didn't let Diggs or Maye just go out there and make plays. You scored 23 points, vs a poor defense playing without possibly our best defensive player, in a game where we turned the ball over 3 times, one of which gave you the 12 yards from a TD. While converting 3/9 3rd downs vs a D that is probably the worst in football in that department over the last 2 seasons. Diggs was the best player on the field last night. Much props to him. I love Drake Maye and I think he’ll be a star. I thought he played a solid game yesterday, but I was expecting him to play better than he did. Quote
Ya Digg? Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago 4 hours ago, Success said: Obviously, he had a good game. And the standout "amazing" play was when he was getting dragged down and got it to Diggs. But the hype I've heard today is off the charts. He had a good half - but I thought his big throws were more a product of our defense faltering in that half. The receivers were pretty wide open, and we stopped getting good pressure on him. He didn't throw a TD all night. I still didn't see "elite" out there, and some are already putting him on Allen's level. It seems like some analysts and others want him to be that guy more than he actually is that guy. But we have a proud history of making a lot of QB's look better than they are. Come on, you gotta give credit where credit is due. He played really well last night. Guys were open but he also made some great throws, especially rolling out to his right. The one throw to Diggs down the sideline near the end zone was a fantastic throw. no one is putting him in Allen’s level, that’s just hyperbole to get a reaction (which you did so congratulations) or you’re completely mishearing people. No one qualified to talk about football (you know what I mean by that) is putting Maye and Allen on the same level. They might be comparing where Allen was at at the same period that Maye is at now, which is a fair comparison 1 Quote
zow2 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I think Maye had a really nice second half. But let's not forget, even Mac Jones as a young guy with New England beat a very good Bills team going 25 for 30, 272 yds, 2 TDs, 0 turnovers. That Patriots team finished 4-13. Now of course I think Maye will be better than Mac Jones and I really like Vrabel... but let's not crown Maye just yet. The Bills secondary is really subpar and will make QBs look better than they are. Quote
ControllerOfPlanetX Posted 45 minutes ago Posted 45 minutes ago He is Peyton Manning and Tom Brady…all rolled into one. Talking heads always looking for the Allen replacement because they were all wrong about him. Quote

So, yes, I would say he was THAT good. In fact, he's likely to only get better, while the Bills keep rolling out the same team every year. Cage he was sacked four times, hurried 8-9 times, and picked. He did play a good game, but not the second coming of Joe Montana. Josh played sloppy and admitted it after the game. They are not in the same league. I know the loss especially to them still stings. I get it. Quote

Receivers open by 5 yards and wide open lanes to scramble to your right make the job pretty simple. When has Josh ever played against a defense that just gave it to him like that? If Josh played against McD's Defensive scheme, he'd put up 40+ by halftime. They made a series of big boy plays. Maye is no joke. Repeating myself, but will have them hanging in every game. Not sure how much diggs has left, but he was prime diggs last night. Quote
