Maybe people should stop with all the inflammatory rhetoric.  Telling people to view their fellow Americans as "enemies," simply for not being on the right "side" isn't helpful. Those in power don't even pretend they want to govern for the benefit of ALL anymore, rather just themselves & their donors.

 

That being said, stupid people doing stupid things will always happen.

 

We're just as likely to find out Sanchez got stabbed because he have 2 stars to his DoorDash driver.

this link tells the story. I've never been stabbed stitches yes. Stable condition is good news. That's all that is good about this story imho

Some more info is out. Reportedly, the delivery driver is 69 years old. So self defense with pepper spray and then a knife seems very appropriate (to say the least) if he was attacked by a 38 year old former NFL player as alleged.

Hadn't considered the UK, point taken. I'm sincerely speaking from experience in tons of bars in Slovakia, Hungary, Germany, China, and Japan; I've never been to a hotel bar to be honest. It's strange to see people take offense to such a mild statement.

we’re still in the planning/research phase.  We’re going to SE Asia for approx 6 months.  Likely 3 months in Thailand (Bangkok, Hua Hinn and Pattaya one month each), 1 month in DaNang Vietnam, 1 month in Canggu, Bali and 1 month in Malaysia, likely Langkawi and George Town.  
 

Then head back to the states for a few months before going to Italy for 6 months.  Looking into cefalu, Tropeo, the amalfi coast and around Puglia.  Back to states for a bit then eastern Mexico (if it seems safe at the time) and Costa Rica.  Hopefully we’ll have some favorite cities by then  and will travel between them for 6 months to a year at a time.  
 

my wife and I (51 and 46) don’t have children and are in a solid spot financially.  We’ve been taking care of my mother for the last 3 years and it’s really made vacations and getting out to see the world difficult.  So we decided to see it all when we are able.  That’s the plan anyway

Good Luck.  Some of these are big time party places - like Pattaya, Canggu.    Ubud is Bali is an awesome place and away from all the maddening crowd on the coast.

Thanks.  Yeah, I was reading up and watching some videos on Ubud today.  Definitely seems like a much more laid back vibe and right up our alleys.
