Buffalo03 Posted September 23 Posted September 23 I was thinking about picking up the Chargers D in fantasy this week since they play the Giants this week. But now with Dart, I'm kinda having Justin Herbert vibes from his rookie year when he made his first start at the last second after Tyrod couldn't play. Of course, the Chiefs who I believe Herbert played didn't prepare for him. The Chargers will have a weeks worth of prep for Dart. So I am torn Quote
mushypeaches Posted September 23 Posted September 23 Daboll isn't doing Jaxson Dart any favors with this desperate effort. If he's going to bench Wilson (as he should), I'd play Winston for a few games until Dart is truly ready - which keeps the original (and correct) plan intact of sheltering their key first round pick When you make decisions based on listening to the fans, you end up sitting with the fans 1 1 Quote
BigDingus Posted September 23 Posted September 23 Good for him. Russ completely threw away any chance for them to win. Daboll will save his job if Dart gives fans even the slightest bit of hope & shows promise after his first year. Quote

I don't think even the Bengals are stupid enough to think this plan could work. Wilson's time in the NFL is coming to an end. I think the bengals may be desperate. Quote

Captain Hindsight Posted September 23 Posted September 23 I've been impressed with Dart. I hope he balls out. The league is better with good QB play 2 1 Quote

Livinginthepast Posted September 23 Posted September 23 Tom Brady's career ruined the paradigm for what we thought a Qb's career should be. Before Brady a Qb was often completely done by their mid 30s, but then came Brady and also Drew Brees pushing 40 and beyond. You could even add Rodgers (although fading fast) to that list. Wilson was done when he first got to Denver. Now 36 , he looks just like those great QBs of the 70s and 80s by this stage. Jim Kelly was a shadow of his greatness when he called it quits at 36. I don't what the Giants thought they were getting making Wilson the starter. Did they not watch any film from the last 2 years? Quote

He was excellent in 2013 (at age 37!!) when they lost to Wilson in the SB but man did he go over a cliff in the final season where his arm strength and accuracy were terrible and the injuries finished him off. WhitewalkerInPhilly Posted September 23 Posted September 23 I just keeping thinking of that Hospital Ball Russ threw up in that game. I don't know how good Dart is, but I don't think he's trying to get Nabers killed Quote

Pretty solid passer, tough, good arm, decent pocket awareness. It might take a few games but it’s a good move and Daboll is on life support I love the upside of Dart. Not saying he’ll be as successful as these guys, but he reminds me of a mix between Josh and Philips Rivers. 1 Quote

Low Positive Posted September 23 Posted September 23 His first start comes against the Chargers. They should have started Winston or stuck with Russ for one more week to let the kid get his feet wet on the road in New Orleans. 6 minutes ago, Billsfanatic8989 said: Cincinnati already has a QB starting who is probably better at this point. It was as bad as Trent Edwards running out of bounds on 4th down rather than chucking up a hail mary. That was the last snap he ever played for the Bills. You just can't go back to a guy that gives up like that. 1 Quote
