I fancy this organic approach when I don't have an obvious favorite. But I can't see myself ever actively rooting for the Chiefs, unless it's some obscure playoff seeding scenario? Even then. Would need a cold shower after.

I will not be rooting for the Chiefs (if that happens), I would be rooting for the Ravens to lose.

I might end up saying, "let them tie".  I really don't know how I will feel.

Based on next 4 games after this one, I'm leaning to the Ravens losing.

Ravens have Texans, rams, bears, fins, vikings. Last 2 on road.

Chiefs have jags, lions, raiders, commanders, bills. Bills and jags are road games.

I think thr chiefs have a worse record than the ravens over those 5...like 2-3 vs 3'2 so chiefs win they both go 3-3 over next 6.

That would be a dream but I don't see it. Even if they lose next week, I only see 3 more losses on their schedule. Lions, Bills, 1 of the Broncos x2 or Chargers. 11-6 gets them into a wildcard spot. The realistic dream is KC at Baltimore in the wildcard.

A team that can’t beat any of the good teams is not a sure thing to beat all of the pretty good teams imo.  If they’ve truly got zero margin of error and have to beat all of Indy,Jax,Washington,Denver/lac they’re probably gonna miss.  Even the raiders play them pretty tough.  If the chiefs fall to a wildcard type team that jags game is hugeeee

if they end up in as the 6 or 7 seed they’re gonna get a tough draw in the wildcard round too.

Want to avoid a possible playoff game in Baltimore by any means necessary. Pulling for KC for this one.

I'm probably whistling past the graveyard here but there are reasons to feel good about beating Baltimore in Buffalo in late January. Derrick Henry looks like he is slowing down a bit, he'll have just turned 32 and he'll have another 180 carries worth of miles on his legs. Our gap discipline will be better in our next matchup by default. The pressure of always choking in the playoffs will be on them and they'll be in our house. I'm not quite as scared of that prospect as I was two weeks ago.

The real key is to avoid having to play both KC and Baltmore en route to the Super Bowl. You're going to have to beat one of them to get there, no avoiding it.

There is no way the Chiefs are missing the playoffs. They may get a wild card but they aren't missing and to be honest, I don't want them to. I don't wanna hear any excuses if we get to a Super Bowl and win it.

"Oh, well that's because you didn't have to worry about Kansas City"

I can see people saying that now. I want them in. Gotta beat them sometime.

So funny thing is we could play the Jets 4 games in the post season and If we won I could careless about the excuses. The trophy would be ours

i could see a few more w out trying too hard

like a weird NFC matchup w Commanders dline going crazy or Dak throwing for 500yards or something

or even a Texans revenge matchup

but yes realistically best case scenario we only have to play 1 of the 2 en route to SB

I need to see it to believe it with that crew. Let's not get too crazy because they lost to a legit division opponent followed by the Super Bowl champs, while down their most important skill players. They definitely do not have the same mojo as last year but they are still going to out coach their opponent on a weekly basis and that means volumes in a league where roster parity has never been tighter.

In conclusion if the ravens win they have a strong path to playoffs. And chiefs have really tough path to playoffs.

If the ravens lose they have a very difficult road to playoffs and the chiefs still have a tough road to playoffs.

I think KC has a reasonable chance to get to the playoffs regardless of the outcome this weekend. There aren’t 2 playoff teams coming out of the East or South, and possibly North. That leaves 3 teams out of the West by default.

I agree with you.  That Charger loss was also in Brazil.   Would prefer the Chiefs stack up some losses while it is still possible.

Questioning how good the Ravens really are.  Giving up nearly 40 points a game to very good offenses is troubling for them.   That’s not sustainable and they may get quite a few losses along the way.

I’m torn, but with the Chiefs tough schedule as well as tougher division, I’m leaning towards hoping the Ravens lose. To be clear, I’d be totally fine with a Chiefs loss.

It’d be nice to have the Chiefs buried at 1-3, but if we win next weekend, we’ll be four games up on the Ravens at the quarter point if they lose. Plus, we still play the Chiefs and it’s in Buffalo.

Either way, it’ll be good though. One of these teams will be 1-3 after next weekend, barring a tie.

What say you?

Go Bills!

I say make a poll.

I don't really know now what is better for us, but I want the Chiefs to lose every game.

I’d like to see the chefs lose this one.  We have the lead on the ravens and want to keep adding losses to KC. Especially when they get their receivers back.  Although, I feel something else is wrong there based on how kelce had been acting.

Anyways, who says the ravens are a powerhouse this year?  If Henry continues to be subpar, leaning on Lamar isn’t their answer.

But the answer to that is we didn't have to worry about Kansas as they weren't good enough to make the play offs. Bills were. That's on them. Not us.

I vote for the meteor ... or the refs

Failing that, much as the pleasure of watching the Chefs lose would be great, I am hoping (in a 51-49% sort of way) for them to win as I think that they have a tougher road to win their division that the Ravens (and neither the Bengals - with or without Burrow - nor the Steelers scare me particularly).
