BillsFan130 Posted September 14 Posted September 14 I see what you're saying chirping the fans, but we have been there as bills fans as well haha. New regime, optimism, only to get blown out early in the season by New England. But ya. The Bills are the boss of the afc east, and the jets learned that the hard way today 3 1 Quote

Because you kept the game close against an overrated Steelers team? The only thing that surprised me more than Jets fans overconfidence, was the lack of confidence from some on this board in your team. I'm sure the Bills will lose a game or two during the season, but it won't be a common occurrence. This team is elite.......get used to it, folks!! Go Bills!! Reality check for some Bills fans too 1 1 1 Quote
transient Posted September 14 Posted September 14 I said last week either the Jets are better or the Steelers kinda suck… welcome to week 2. 1 Quote
Ethan in Cleveland Posted September 14 Posted September 14 This is the story of McDermott's defense. He makes bad QBs look awful. Then gets killed by the elite QBs. Its been that way since year 1 under McDermott. Beane gave him more pieces to work with this year. The young defenders on the DL looked good. Young DL players take time to develop. Tre looked like he was moving as good as he was pre ACL. Bosa looks like the complimentary edge rusher they have needed for years! Rapp and Bishop didnt embarass themselves this week. Tua, Waddle, Achane, and Hill will present a tougher test. I like our DL against Miami OL though. I really like our OL against their defense. Look for another 200 yard rush effort! 3 Quote
ControllerOfPlanetX Posted September 14 Posted September 14 Steelers are not that good…they have Metcalf and nothing else…and ran up 34. Quote

DrDawkinstein Posted September 14 Posted September 14 Just now, Ethan in Cleveland said: This is the story of McDermott's defense. He makes bad QBs look awful. Then gets killed by the elite QBs. I tend to disagree with this as plenty of bad QBs have had their best games against us. Easton Stick had a career day against us a couple years ago, as did a hapless Russell Wilson that same year. Trevor Lawrence has had our number a couple times. And we made Skylar Thompson look legit. At the same time, he's always had Tua's number and has done a great job shutting down Lamar almost every time we play the Ravens (or at least containing him more than most teams do). I think the real criticism with the McDefense is you just never know what you are going to get week to week. Quote
tomur67 Posted September 14 Posted September 14 Cook is definitely not an Eddie George type, maybe like Marshall Faulk. 1 1 Quote
RichRiderBills Posted September 14 Posted September 14 George was unique, ran high and tall. I thought Cook reminds me of a cross between Chris Johnson and Edgerin James. Quote
CirclnWagons Posted September 14 Posted September 14 Rapp and Bishop seemed to be at least semi lucid and cognizant to time and space. They faced the correct side of the field when lining up on defense and seemed to have a solid understanding that they were supposed to limit the catching of the ball by the people that weren’t wearing the same color jersey they were. Overall, a huge improvement over week 1 I’d say. 7 2 Quote

He's much more compared to Derrick Henry, and Henry credits George with teaching him to run like a big man. Edgerrin James is much more Cook's size and style. No? My reply was sarcasm. Cook is nothing like Eddie George. 1 Quote

Steelers defense has been highly overrated for 2 seasons. They got lip up when it counted last year too. 57 minutes ago, tomur67 said: Cook is definitely not an Eddie George type, maybe like Marshall Faulk. Reminds me of Marcus Allen for some reason. Quote
