NewEra Posted September 1 Posted September 1 I’d bring him in and talk to him and dig a little deeper. Then go with your gut. Not sure what he’s looking to make $ wise, but I wouldn’t be happy if we went to KC, Baltimore, Cinci, Houston, LAC, Denver or the AFC east for a couple mill 3 Quote
BarleyNY Posted September 1 Posted September 1 He’d be a very big risk due to his foot injury and possible (probable?) locker room issues. He’s also an 3 tech like Oliver. Upside is certainly there tho. I doubt he’s in the Bills price range anyway, but not a great fit IMO. Quote
AlCowlingsTaxiService Posted September 1 Posted September 1 I know we’re supposed to hate him, but if the price is right? Hes a once great player at his position who plays with an edge. I’d kick those tires. 1 Quote
benderbender Posted September 1 Posted September 1 I heard that his defensive move in Madden is the "credit card swipe" and can only be used after they play is whistled dead 1 1 Quote
Peace Frog Posted September 1 Posted September 1 I'll address the elephant in the room... If he's so great, why is he still unsigned after being cut by the Raiders? 1 1 Quote
Matt_In_NH Posted September 1 Posted September 1 If he is healthy he is a great player. And he is not quite as weird as Charles Hayley. 1 Quote
todd Posted September 1 Posted September 1 He doesn't sound like he'd fit the culture in Buffalo. No way. No need for classless d-bags on the team. 1 Quote
Doc Brown Posted September 1 Posted September 1 He would be our best defensive tackle if we signed him so we won't. Quote
Logic Posted September 1 Posted September 1 (edited) Certainly seems like there are mental health issues at play that the public doesn't know about. Various folks in the media have hinted as much. There's a reason a player of his talent level is just sitting there on the open market with no reported interest. What we DO know about him is also not great. Kind of a ballbag grabber, ya know? It’s just like the fire McD crew, but when asking who’s better, you get a homan, homana answer. 1 1 Quote

Wilkins is the used Camaro with the bad engine computer. You never know what it's going to do. 🤔 Quote
BuffaloBillyG Posted September 1 Posted September 1 (edited) This is like your 10 speed bike popped a tire, so you run out and buy a Harley. Typically, I don't see teams replace a DT5 with a former pro bowl level player. The math doesn't math here. That's not even to mention that he seems to be someone that causes issues in the locker room and has a few screws loose. Hard pass on this head case. Edited September 1 by BuffaloBillyG Quote
TheWeatherMan Posted September 1 Posted September 1 If healthy, he’d be the defensive version of Richie Incognito, which worked well for the Bills for the first couple years. Anything we can do to create added pressure on LJ, Burrows, and Mahomes should be pursued. 1 Quote

Yeah, the Raiders weren't happy with how he approached his rehab, so much so that they tried to reclaim some money. I'm no expert but I'd lean towards that being not good. Quote
BullBuchanan Posted September 1 Posted September 1 Unpopular take: Carter being out for the year is a net win for us. It keeps better players with more upside on the field like Sanders and Walker, and prevents Beane from considering releasing Ogunjobi after his suspension. I honestly had Carter getting released after the suspension anyway. At least this gives him one more shot next year, but I'm guessing the release him as soon as he's healthy anyway. 1 Quote

Wilkins is famous for being accused of dirty play on the field, including grabbing Josh Allen in inappropriate places at the bottom of the pile. He's also been accused of disruptive locker room behavior. On the flipside, he does have some talent. So, he's the antithesis of a process guy, but could actually provide a talent upgrade over the guy he would replace. Would you sign him? I have my doubts that the Bills would. I don’t care if he’s the reincarnation of Warren Sapp. I don’t want this freaky guy within 100 feet of Buffalo or any school zone for that matter. I would not be the least bit surprised if he ends up getting in really bad trouble down the road. 20 minutes ago, RoscoeParrish said: Because there’s a lot of red flags surrounding him the same reason Joey Bosa had to take a moderate 1 year deal Yeah no definitely not the same reason… 😒 Edited September 1 by ChronicAndKnuckles 1 Quote
