It's not petty, it's interesting and clever. This board could use more of both qualities--and less carping.

Exactly! Especially after Beane called those guys out saying it sounded like 2018 again when they [WGR] said they should have drafted Josh Rosen. I’m sure WGR will bring all of that up 😂

I remember last year so many, myself included were saying to draft multiple WRs in the loaded draft class and then when they didn’t they said hey the broncos have a plethora of WR talent why not trade for Sutton, he could’ve been had for a 4th at most…but hey Beane wants to live and die on this mountain so be it 🤷🏻‍♂️

I havent written him off, but he isn't trending in the right direction.  He was billed as being "The Target" in our offense and hasn't come close

Sure he did. He just dropped the most significant pass of the season 😲

I was one of them on the WR wagon.

Right now the injury list is long, but the encouraging thing is these all seem like short term issues.

All ACLs, Achilles tendons and such seem to be intact. I'm fairly certain a lot of these guys could play if the season started tomorrow. But it doesn't...so rest em and let em heal.

I hope Milano can stay healthy. His football skills have not diminished imo - it's just the usual durability questions. If this is his last season with Buffalo, let him go out with a bang. He was arguably the Bills' best defender in the playoffs last year and is such a difference maker for us.

We lost the last playoff game we played last year for 4-5 main reasons, of which injuries were one.  We did the same 4th and short play over and over, so we were too predictable.  We didn't adjust well enough to their key plays.  We were on the wrong end of some calls.  Keeping Cook out of our final drive also wasn't ideal.  These are from memory but injuries, while important, were not the only problem.  That said, injury to Benford was a big factor in the loss for sure!

And the defense simply sucked. Surrendered 10 yards a pop, often eight yard plunges went untouched. It was extremely frustrating watching the Chiefs run in open field so so often. No Bills players in the picture.

Noted and promoted.

Moving forward, this 66 year season ticket holder is done after this season. Can't imagine there's more than 100 of us left.  Dad got them in Bills inaugural year 1960 and passed away in '63. Mom kept them going til my bro and I were old enough to take over. Havent missed a season but PSL's aren't a good investment approaching 70. My buddies and I were Bills Mafia in the 70s and 80s traveling around the country to many road games. Now it's getting to be time to pass the torch and watch at home on the 75"hdtv with cheap beer and food, a warm house, and my own rest room.

Go Bills

Your final farewell.

Not so sure about that.

“Fared” is the most common of the two phrases to use.

Fine.  I'll step in.  When comparing two entities, the correct expression is "the MORE common".  When comparing THREE (or more) entities, one would use the expression "the MOST common".

Carry on...

Yeah but it sounds more doomy and gloomy if you just throw out a random draft round, makes it seem like they know what they’re talking about

For anyone catching up to today's news like I am... this guy Mike Rose reports literally that "full pads are on."

That's not the case. Today was not a fully-padded practice.

The Bills were practicing in "shells" today which means that they're wearing helmets, shoulder pads, and shorts.

It also means that "tackling" is limited to "wrap and release" or "thudding."

It's true that Ty Johnson has excellent speed and that he can turn the corner but that said, Cook has a way of continuously getting to the edge and he has that deceptive speed where defenders routinely underestimate how fast he's going.

Cook is arguably the best in the league at getting to the edge and turning the corner.

Conlan definitely had skinny legs but he could also run like the wind. Besides sharing the same jersey number, he was similar to Milano in that heat-seeking missile sort of way.

I remember Conlan differently at the end of his Bills tenure. Maybe it was more about his general stature/posture and prominent neck roll, I don't know. He was fast coming out of college. Was he still fast in 1992? Maybe he was.

To be fair to him… it’s literally in the name of this thread as well.
