Title: What Are We Not Talking About That We Should Be Talking About?

Context matters.   She was asking what was some under the radar aspect of the team that the media and fans don't talk about much.   Josh was saying that he does not really know what the conversation is like among the fans and media so that was tough to answer.  It's not that her question made no sense to him.

It's always harder for women in sports to prove themselves. That said, I don't know if Maddy Glab was the best person for that role.

She might be a wonderful person so this ain't meant in any type of personal way......but when she's on the radio.I turn the channel.  

 

The voice, the overall fluff. It's just not the type of content I'm after with so many options in a flooded market when it comes to original content

This is what bothers me the most. I have never heard her say a single thing that wasn't just fluff. Her nickname might as well be marshmallow maddy.

Even the question that begot this thread: what is the most underrated aspect that the media doesn't know... what type of question even is that? All it leaves is for Josh to give some hallow PR answer about great fans or some nonsense. Who gives a hoot? Why not ask him what he is most excited to get better at during training camp? Or if he expect the intermediate passing focus we saw in yesterdays practice to be an increased focus going forward? Is there something they noticed in the tape from last year that is an immediate priority to fix? Or just, ya know, *anything* that has to do with actual football.

Maddy Glab is always the one who gets deservedly lambasted, but OBL as a whole is borderline unlistenable. It's state-run media put out by the Politburo so it was never going to be particularly thought-provoking, but Brown and Tasker come off as smugly dismissive any time someone says anything negative. Terry understandably wouldn't want people he has on his payroll to say negative things about his franchise, but it makes it tough to get through.

 

They should spend more time on japanese beetles.

She was right about what she said about Diggs. Unfortunate she was on a live mic. I don't disagree with what she said about that puke. 

[In Summary]

New media has given us options. Primarily, Locked on Bills and Cover 1. Eric Wood and Ostroski's shows are good as well. The Squad show can be  good with Joe Marino and Ostroski playing off each other but then Jeremy White has to wreck it with his penchant for pushing non-story stories. Ultimately, hearing Glab say "eleven personnel" every show does nothing for me.

Putting Schopp right after is a pretty great switch. You would think the Bills have an equal roster to the Eagles and then at 3pm the realization that they still don't have a #1 receiver. Makes Beanes tantrum even more ridiculous when you consider that Schopp and the Bulldog is probably the "toughest" media coverage for them.

He didn’t know how to answer the question because her question implied Josh listens to the media, that’s why he didn’t know how to answer the question. I mean I don’t get what all the fuss is about.

You think that's bad listen to Ravens radio. Patriots radio is generally understood as homered, like many teams but the Ravens radio will never let one bad thing be said about the team. Call in shows, anything.

 

Then, something bad happens and they shift the tide so bad to attack the one issue: Mark andrews drop, the front office not support Lame-r, the DB's doing poorly

I’ll have to listen again.  Since Glab has been a Bills employee she gets to know the players pretty well (ex - her comments about Diggs) I wouldn’t be surprised if Josh was just messing with her

I actually enjoy chris brown over Murphy who was the original host obviously. But I agree, it gets to be unlistenable sometimes

Thanks for sharing the video.  Ok so this was a bad interview for both Brown and Glab.  Not for awkwardness, but it was just a puff piece that lacked much substance.   
 

Josh is such a great get and yet the hosts just yucked it up and spent most of the interview asking non-football questions.   My favorite was when Chris Brown said “How do you and your wife EVER balance schedules?” like it was some kind of science.  Josh just said “like most couples we just look at our calendars” LOL

 

I didn’t the question at the end was that bad for Maddie.  She made an error by assuming that Josh followed the media coverage about what people were saying about the team.  When he responded she re-phrased that question and he eventually talked about under the radar players, which was good.

 

But all-in-all this is the type of interview that you expect from the team (aka propaganda).
