Does this mean Red Zone will be on ESPN this season?  Will save me having to buy the sports package on YouTube tv.

That’s what I’m waiting to see. I dropped cable and went to firestick &Roku -not really happy with either. But I GOTTA have my NFL/SundayTicket!

Anyone else find RedZone extremely overrated? Had it for the first time last year and was looking forward to watching as I heard a lot of good things. Terrible way to watch football IMO. Would rather just have a couple games on in multiview and catch other game highlights on Twitter.

As far as the acquisition, Disney acquiring anything can only be a bad thing.

It does suck to watch games. You just have to have a second tv to have it on while you watch your main game. It’s amazing for that.

Did it state when  the Red Zone sale takes place?  Wondering as with ST through YTTV, they are charging extra to buy ST with Red Zone.  Doubt they will be able to offer that in future if owned by ESPN.

Yep agreed.

Red zone is more for fantasy football IMO.

Would much prefer to watch a game or two like you said and get into the flow of the game

Redzone with 90% less Scott Hansen would be perfect. Guy does not know when to stfu

I think they should throw everyone off one week and have the other Scott Hansen do it. He could scream, “Why don't you take a seat!” for a big sack on third down.

Not sure what the fuss is over regarding NFL network, it isn’t that great. Redzone is a Sunday only thing that really can’t get screwed up as it has one purpose.

I don't understand, Jokeman.

The world wide leader in slash and burn.  The Titanic of sinking sports ships.  The very guys who can't keep pee (and other stains) off the front of their pants, and coffee stains off their ties...are buying the NFL Network, and somebody in charge at NFL Media is OK with this?!

I'll say this. I'm far from an espn defender, that daytime s*** is terribleeeeee. Sportscenter is garbage except for during baseball season, when their is high enough game volume to give them highlights.

I have a firestick the last year and theres a decent amount of games on there, and the night programming is pretty damn good.  30 for 30s rule.

"Espn U" is great, theres no click bait hosts shows. Their college coverage shows, is like a time machine back to when espn ran my childhood. "College today" has been awesome for Conference Media Weeks.

Last night I caught a mini doc following SC Gamecocks, (there there were tons of tj Sanders highlights clips). Was like an hour, maybe 90mins.... sure enough tonight theres another SEC team on.

Honestly theres not much espn cant offer that NFLN already doesn't. I like Sunday Night Gameday with MJD and the other guy, a throwback to nfl primetime. I'll be pissed if they ruin that.

Overall, id prefer it stay as is now, but im always like that. If I want to watch some actual in depth NFL coverage, I'm going to YouTube anyways

I think he does a decent job but I'm in the majority.

They said the deal will take around nine months to approve assuming they finalize the deal.  My guess is all will be the same at least for this season.

I think Hansen does a pretty good job too. When my wife saw the this news tonight, this first thing she said is I hope they don’t replace that guy on the red zone… and she’s just a casual fan.

It worked out so well for the NFL and EA Tiburon / Madden, as well.

And NFL Gamepass moving to DAZN, while you're at it.

Wasn’t ESPN going thru a financial crisis that led to the firing of many high salaried talent?

They do also spend some big bucks on NFL, NBA and MLB broadcast packages, though.

I guess the NFL owners weren’t rich enough and needed some more millions.
