We should keep track of overreacting posters, just so they can be properly shamed when certain formal, transactional moves are revealed to be standard, minor injury management.

Not that anyone cares about their own reputations for overreaction. Accountability is some bygone virtue.

It sounds like he didn't make the qualifiers rookies are required to do when they enter the week before the vets. As mentioned in another thread, the MTC guys, specifically Pat Kirwan who was the assistant GM for the Jets among other coaching and front office duties for 25-30 years.

He mentioned it’s not uncommon when they didn't come in, he would immediately place a player on PUP until he passes the qualifiers.  Additionally, he mentioned it’s a huge mistake for front offices and coaches go soft and allow them to practice.  It sends a message the rules doesn’t matter.  I agree.  So bottom line is Jackson, get moving.  If Im wrong and those insiders are wrong, I'll stand corrected, but it makes too much sense.

Maybe.  But that doesn’t make sense. Landon Jackson is Mr football. Mr character.

This is why the release or cut Trade AJ Epenesa crowd are crazy.

Joey Bosa is a walking injury waiting to happen. Michael Hoecht won't be eligible to play until Week 8. And now Landon Jackson is on PUP.

AJE shouldn't be thought of being moved until at least Hoecht comes back, so long as everyone else stays healthy.

Yeah, that was always the trade timeline. He wouldn't be traded until the suspensions are over, if it happens.

Did they say this was the case with Jackson or just that this thing is common and COULD be the case?

Wow, rough start for the Bills in rebuilding our D-Line. Two signed FA's are suspended for 6 games. Our 2nd round pick hasn't signed and or 3rd rounder is PUP?

WTF!!!

But man when they do come back WATCH THE F OUT BRO !!! 😜

This is interesting... if I may ask because I never heard of qualifiers... what are they generally?

Because Ralph was cheap.

and Kincaid is too skinny, but as long as he runs faster than Keon and their isnt a spleen involved we are good to go. :)

The most important aspect of this “news” is the part that says the Bills expect him to be ready for practice next week.  Until that doesn’t happen, most of this thread is pretty pointless.

This is an old article from 2010 but it gives you the idea. If this is all it is it shouldn't be a big deal. It happens around the league all the time. Marcel Dareus failed the test one year and came back and passed it a few days later.

What are the qualifiers? He was working out at the Bills practice facility the last few weeks. Looked to be in better shape than some other players that were also there working out. He was doing some stuff with TJ Sanders(not signed so possible he wouldn’t have passed either) and looked to be in great shape, strong and moving well.
