Dan Darragh Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago (edited) This came up on my YouTube feed. Hearkens back to the days when the defense was so good that it was more fun to watch the Bills when the other team had the ball. Edited 7 hours ago by Dan Darragh 3 1 2 Quote
DrDawkinstein Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Was lucky enough to be there as a kid. This is the game, and really the moment, that pops into my head whenever the 90s teams are referenced. That real life image of the FG being blocked and and the ball just hanging in the air for what seems like forever with Bennett the only one underneath it. Just waiting to catch it and take it to the house. We could all see what was coming. And it's also a great summary of how magical and dominant those teams were. We were never out of it until the clock hit 0:00. And even then theres a chance... 2 Quote
holla83 Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago (edited) I vividly remember watching this game on TV with my dad. I would have been 11. I actually said something about them blocking the FG as Denver was lining up. He told me it wasn't going to happen. We both lost our minds when it did. I remember sitting down for dinner after the game was over and telling him my heart was still pounding. Edited 6 hours ago by holla83 1 Quote
TBBills Fan Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago I loved this game. Was watching at my grandparents house in depew. That turnaround with those quick scores was epic 1 Quote
CA OC Bills Fan Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago I was at the game. Was drinking throughout the game, back then we could bring beer into the stadium, I think 1 quart was allowed and they never questioned my gallon jug I was bringing in. Needed to go to the bathroom, so when is better than when lining up for a kick. Well, bottom line I was somewhere between walking towards or already being in the concourse for the 77 seconds. Somewhat saw part of it from the stairs or tunnel to the concourse, but missed much of it. 1 Quote
hondo in seattle Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago I remember this game. Then again, how could you forget something like this. What was weird is that this was when our offense was on fire so you'd expect if we did something spectacular with scoring it would be because of Kelly & the Boys. This was (almost) all defense and ST. 2 Quote

machine gun kelly Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I remeber that game as i just graduated from college at 20, and was preparing to move to Tampa at the 1st of the year to go to grad school. If memory serves, we saw it at the K of C in Lackawanna as my Dad’s side job from the news was the house manager. He put on great football Sundays with members, and would roll out whatever wasnt eaten at the weddings and parties that weekend. It was so much fun as he turned that lounge into a sports bar with tv’s from every angle. God i miss that beef on weck and famous pork chops. It was all on the house for the members, just had to pay for the beer. 1 Quote
Doc Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago That game was the light switch for me in going from casual fan to hardcore. Quote
Pete Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago It shows you the importance of special teams. Bills 90s had excellent special teams. It is a travesty that 89 is not in the HOF! 1 Quote
ControllerOfPlanetX Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Love seeing Reaves slam down his clipboard as Bennett is running by. Quote

The defining moment that changed the trajectory of the team, and led to the rise of that great team. 1 1 1 Quote
folz Posted 15 minutes ago Posted 15 minutes ago I was at that game...it was electrifying. That team was GREAT (difference makers all over the field), and that whole season was magical, right up until the last few seconds, of course. But I always laugh watching that clip. It literally looks like Gary Kubiak (the holder for the FG) dies on the field chasing after Bennett (no disrespect to Damar). See :21 to :26 seconds into the video. 😄 Quote
Chandler#81 Posted 12 minutes ago Posted 12 minutes ago Channel 7 needs to feature this game on the Highmark memories special Quote
