They think "man I'm gonna be so focussed because of that" but when they get on the field that isn't what makes him make great throws, or good decisions. It's technique, talent and split second decision making. Yea. Placebo affect. He thought it made him better, so he kept doing it. What a crazy thing to argue when the players are telling you themselves. Who cares if it is placebo or not. It still gets the job done. And there is no way you can watch all the film of Josh attacking Ramsey and say there was nothing there. It was on a different level than anyone else he has played against. It was targeted, it was aggressive, it was filthy, and it was glorious. 1 1 1 Quote

I bet Josh Allen mentally photoshops Malaki Starks face on Michael B Jordan's when he watches Sinners. 4 Quote
Process Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago This was a very innocent comment and actually a sign of respect. People comparing it to Ramsey calling him "trash" are being ridiculous. 1 1 Quote
BillsFan130 Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago 8 minutes ago, GunnerBill said: No I don't think it did. I think Josh Allen being in a better place mentally away from football and in a better designed offense that sought to simplify the decisions for him and reduced the opportunities for him to get himself into trouble were the factors behind it. Oh and just his insane level of natural talent. I think Josh Allen is a guy with incredible natural drive and determination to win. I don't think he needs people talking about him to foster that. Fair enough- But he definitely uses it as motivation. He has always admitted to saying he has a huge chip on his shoulder from not getting any scholarships. Then the Jalen Ramsey thing, being called overrated. The list goes on. He definitely hears the noise from the outside Whether that contributes to impact on performance? I think there's more than enough anecdotal evidence to say it does. But we will never know of course 1 Quote
Doc Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago I think whether Josh uses something as motivation depends on who says it. Ramsey said John is "trash" so I have no doubt he'd use that as motivation. Here it seems like the kid is saying he wants to pick off the best QB in the NFL. Now that doesn't mean Josh won't still try to abuse him, but I don't think there's animosity behind it. Quote
gjv Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Every other DB, Safety, and LB in the league does as well. Even Hairston said he was going to keep the ball that he intercepts from Allen. So what's the big deal? 1 Quote
Thurman#1 Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago (edited) As I understand it, the convo went like this. Starks was asked which NFL he was looking forward to picking off the most. "I think I want to get Josh Allen," Starks said. "I want to get Josh Allen, it would just be fun and a really cool moment for me." And you folks think Josh takes offense or gets angry? Zero chance. Our first rounder was asked the same exact question and said Mahomes and Lamar. Think they're furious at Max? Again, zero chance. This is a nothingburger. Ramsey I would guess pissed him off. Ramsey was trying to shake him. Very much didn't. Edited 6 hours ago by Thurman#1 4 Quote
muppy Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago tell this guy to get in line. who doesn't want to intercept Josh Allen. AND keep that ball too. HA 2 Quote
RobbRiddick Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago They asked Max the same question and he said Mahomes. I don't think any of us are saying that's a sign of disrespect, just that he wants to make a huge contribution in a huge game against the best opponent 4 Quote
frostbitmic Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago If I was a rookie NFL DB, picking off Josh Allen would be the ultimate accomplishment ... can't blame the kid at all. 2 Quote
transient Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago He was asked the question who he most wanted to pick off... was he supposed to say Jameis Winston because he wanted to be part of the club? ...or maybe just look around nervously and then bolt from the room? 2 Quote
Malazan Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Ya'll work really hard at finding stuff to get upset about 1 Quote
BuffaloBillsGospel2014 Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago If you want to be the best you have to beat the best, every rookie should be coming in thinking this. I hope our entire DL of rookies is hoping to sack Mahomes in the AFC championship game. 1 Quote

Starks needs to go watch tape of what Josh did to Ramsey on the Rams and Dolphins. It was filthy. I'm legit scared for this kid's safety. Should be fun. Not so much his safety, more so damage to his psyche and a reputation he doesn’t presently have, what a Chooch, is Deon Sanders his agent.,,,? Quote

He is saying that guy's the best so that's the one I wanna get. You have to be seriously sensitive to have a problem with this. Buffalonians are seriously sensitive about many things. They're still upset over blizzard of 77 jokes by Johnny Carson . 1 Quote
