And there is no way you can watch all the film of Josh attacking Ramsey and say there was nothing there. It was on a different level than anyone else he has played against. It was targeted, it was aggressive, it was filthy, and it was glorious.

Fair enough- But he definitely uses it as motivation.
 

He has always admitted to saying he has a huge chip on his shoulder from not getting any scholarships. Then the Jalen Ramsey thing, being called overrated. The list goes on. He definitely hears the noise from the outside

 

Whether that contributes to impact on performance? I think there's more than enough anecdotal evidence to say it does. But we will never know of course

I think whether Josh uses something as motivation depends on who says it.  Ramsey said John is "trash" so I have no doubt he'd use that as motivation.  Here it seems like the kid is saying he wants to pick off the best QB in the NFL.  Now that doesn't mean Josh won't still try to abuse him, but I don't think there's animosity behind it.

As I understand it, the convo went like this.

 

Starks was asked which NFL he was looking forward to picking off the most.

 

"I think I want to get Josh Allen," Starks said. "I want to get Josh Allen, it would just be fun and a really cool moment for me."

 

And you folks think Josh takes offense or gets angry? Zero chance. Our first rounder was asked the same exact question and said Mahomes and Lamar. Think they're furious at Max? Again, zero chance.

 

This is a nothingburger.

 

Ramsey I would guess pissed him off. Ramsey was trying to shake him. Very much didn't.
