Played a soft tackle game with the young kids in the extended family before Thanksgiving dinner. I may have played 45 minutes. I was sore for a week lol. Played some catch with my sons and grandson last week, threw maybe 50 balls… had to lay down in the shade for 5 mins before walking home from the park… it’s a 2 min walk to my house being young was awesome.. wish I knew it then 2 Quote

One of those guys being on the bottom of the roster with Benford, Hairston, and White in front of them was fine. But if we're only one step from starting that person instead of two - I think we need to get someone else in here. I'd definitely prefer someone besides Douglas. But realistically knowing how this regime values familiarity in scheme over all else, if someone's coming in to take Hairston's place on the roster - it's going to be Douglas. After what we witnessed from Sul Douglas last year (who was already athletically limited prior to that) I have no interest in watching it again. I'd rather see them wait until October and throw a 4th rnd pick at a 2-5 team that's going to lose a guy to FA at the end of the year. 9 Quote

That Thanksgiving I was only playing all-time QB. I took maybe 3 or 4 tumbles rolling out and one stretching for the goal line. I was hurting for days. There is an old phrase, and I don’t know the origin, but it states that "youth is wasted on the young." So true. You try to tell the kids that, they don't listen. I didn't either at that age. Older folks would tell me: "You'll learn, you'll see." I laughed it off. God they were right. 1 Quote

They planned for depth at this position and I would say that the current Bills depth at CB would put Douglass firmly on the outside. He was awful last year, and moving on was and still is the right answer even if they lose Maxwell for a period of time. Maybe we can get 3 or 4 solid games from White/Jackson/Douglas each. Just mix n' match depending on the game and hope that their experience gets us to the playoffs again. Or better yet, the dline plays lights out all year and everyone forgets who is playing CB. 1 Quote

Like I said, i've been very vocal that I think he's toast. But I think less of what I would do and more of what I think they would do in situations like these. And if Hairston is lost for the year and they decide they want more than what they have underneath Benford and Tre as the next guy up on the Outside, I see them turning to Douglas. Whether you, me, or anyone else would want someone else. Quote

I've never seen someone stand up of their own power and walk off the field after tearing one. I've never seen someone tear one and not be screaming/crying in agony either. I'm not a trained medical professional in any capacity though, but I'm going to guess this is a sprain and he'll miss almost all of the rest of camp. My friend tore his at a taekwondo tournament. I had just finished a fight and he came over to me. I knew he just fought and assumed he’d won so I asked him when his next one was. He nonchalantly said he was done. When I, assuming he’d lost, asked him what happened he reached down and wiggled his kneecap and said he blew out his ACL (complete tear). He showed zero physical discomfort. He said it hurt when it happened, but didn’t after. He had to withdraw from his match and (obviously) would need surgery so he’d be out awhile. That was it. 18 minutes ago, BillsFanForever19 said: I definitely agree with you on that. Like I said, i've been very vocal that I think he's toast. Bad day for CBs in the league - Dallas lost Carson for an couple months and NE lost Gonzales for a few weeks. Good day to have CB depth because judging by today they’re going to be scarce. eball Posted Wednesday at 09:08 AM Posted Wednesday at 09:08 AM I can’t imagine a guy would write “beyond blessed; thank you god” if he had a season ending injury. But that’s just me. Expecting to hear some good news from McD this morning before practice. 1 1 Quote

I hope you're right...but sometimes people like to remind themselves of their blessings when facing adversity. But he is smiling...so hopefully it is because of good news. But you might have to wait a bit to hear from McD as there's no practice today. 2 2 1 Quote

This would worry me more, except the bills haven't signed anyone to replace him at camp. They are usually pretty quick to pull the trigger on stuff like that, so I'm hopeful that they don't believe it's anything long-term. Quote
