The metrics point to this being a very good team

It's been an unlikely combination of issues that have produced our W/L

Exactly, I don’t think it has never happened before at this level. This is the reason why I entitled the thread Crazy.

Have no fear Padre, we are 11th out of 16th with more likely more losses than wins to come.  Good times at OBD!  Can't wait until year 22 of the Mcbeane era so we can be mediocre or worse and waist Josh Allen's career.

Is Josh wasting his own career if he chooses to stay with the Bills? Also, how are you measuring the career? Solely based on championships? I'm mean, many people still consider Marino one of the best ever.

We are third in the Conference (5th in the entire League) in POINTS DIFF at 101 and yet we are 11th on conference standing… i guess it’s something nfl history material.

Keep in mind though that +84 of that PD came from our first four games.

Over the last 8 we're only +17.

We're -9 over the past 8 apart from that Jets game.

Let's see what tomorrow brings.  If ever there's a time for McD to demonstrate his ability to bring the team together, tomorrow is it.

If not, then that should clearly make its own statement.

2010 Chargers had the top ranked offense and defense and missed the playoffs!

Well, exactly, what are Josh's goals.

He's set financially.

Its like 3 games that we destroyed other teams propping that stat up.  We lost almost all the close games.  That is why the point diff is so high and our record is .500

do NOT bring Josh's waist in to this. He is really trying to stay in shape.

Yes, it would be a shame to waist the prime years of Allen’s career. Thank goodness all his other measurables are off the charts.

So, if this is a historical season in which a fundamentally excellent team still has a terrible record...

Do you think  coaching might have something to do with it?

There's a reason you haven't seen this sort of thing before at this level.

This is not easy to accomplish!  It takes a particular lack of talent!

It's actually a GREAT example of why statistics/analytics are an important piece of the pie and should be relied on..but not exclusively!

They should be considered one of several pieces of evidence to be weighed and balanced as a whole.

Any analytic you can think of is actually an extremely simplified attempt to explain an insanely complex system.

Flaws are inherent.
