Douglas will be a nice player for the defense and didn't cost a ton. I'm shocked Elam is still here, so MAYBE he flashes when given a chance (if that ever occurs) and suddenly we have a room full of solid CBs. My guess is the returns being offered were so low - you might as well hold on to him and hope he's a late bloomer. The CB we just acquired was a 3rd Round Pick who was considered a bust. Floated around the league a bunch. Ended up in Green Bay and then flourished. Sometimes it takes a long time for the light to go on for a player. Look at AJ Epenesa. He was completely written off and over the past year and a half he looks like a different player. If the offers were in the Round 5-7 range, might as well hold on to him. He’s gotten very little run and is lacking reps. Let’s see what he’s got he’s not co$ting much. I look at him I see potential not sucks.
