Tyrod Taylor?  He knows the system, is mobile, doesn’t make mistakes.  He should no longer have delusions of starting anywhere.

Tyrod last played here in 2017 when Dennison was OC.  He does not know the Bills current offensive system so pass please.

He didn’t play that bad when he was here. But then again I don’t know how much of it was Daboll’s system that helped him

I think he’s better than Wentz. Wentz has been toxic to every locker room he’s been in. I haven’t heard anything about Mitch being a locker room cancer

3rd string QB can't really be a locker room cancer...

This guy is a bum.  Remember the thread claiming he could win 11 games in this Offense?

good times lol

Reminds me a little bit of when the Bills Signed Flutie, then a month later traded for Johnson.  Always wondered, if Flutie had known the Bills were going to trade for Johnson, would Flutie have signed.

Same here if Mitch knew they planned to use a 1st round pick on a QB, would he have signed there.  But he can join a long list of players who sign with a new team thinking they will be given a legit shot to be the starting QB for most of one season at least, only to be quickly replaced.

They did give him a shot to be the starter. He was hot garbage! And that’s insulting hot garbage!

Yep this. Mitch had his chances. He stunk, and he got benched. They started him and he was a disappointment.

In fairness to Trubisky, the Steelers O-line early in the season was simply atrocious.

I’d regret signing with the Steelers too after a couple of their players did a CPR-themed celebration this weekend. Classless.

Esp when you consider DH3 is a Pittsburgh guy and all the love Tomlin showed him.

Would have to imagine he addressed it with them. Doesn’t seem like something Tomlin would approve of, especially given not only the PIT connections but also the William & Mary connection to McDermott.

He got a legit shot I thought. Steelers started out terrible and had to make the move to Pickett and it paid off.

They started 2-6 . Went on to go 7-2.

Mike Tomlin continues his streak of never having a losing season.  Pretty incredible feat

Pickett has shown flashes, but had the steelers played mitch all year, would they really have been any worse? The steelers just went that great all around this year. Pickett looked pretty terrible at times too

Pickett is a rookie, most look awful at times.

Yes they would have been a lot worse! Trubisky just stunk every way you can measure.  They would be lucky win 5 games with him!

Agree, but still for the player they likely either come away realizing they just are not as good as they think they are, or they feel like they didn't get as much of a shot as they hoped for.

Nobody south of Ontario thought Flutie was being handed the Bills starting QB job when they signed him.   Butler had collected two QB's who he liked a lot in Todd Collins and Billy Joe Hobert to battle it out to replace Kelly........there was no reason to think that,  at the very least, the Bills QB job was going to be similarly contested.
