I agree. I think they would have been about the same mediocre team with Trubisky starting all year instead of turning the reins over to Pickett. 
As for Trubisky thinking he would’ve fared better elsewhere: where, exactly? I’m assuming he wanted another shot at starting, but no GM thought of him as anything more than a backup or caretaker starter at most. The Steelers probably gave him the best shot. He failed.
