Harbaugh possibly returning to the NFL? (Twitter speculation)

(1) Bruce Feldman on Twitter: "“I think it is a done deal if he gets an offer.” Jim Harbaugh's led Michigan to consecutive B1G titles, but also been great as an NFL coach. If an NFL team wants him, will he leave Michigan? Reporting w/ @NicoleAuerbach @byAustinMeek on Harbaugh/NFL 2.0: https://t.co/q4VrLN7OLu" / Twitter

I thought Michigan was his dream job. I guess Denver could be in play here. He did a good job with the 49ers.

Harbaugh would be second in line to Sean Payton for any NFL HC job available. Any.

I don't know, you can grab Harbaugh for free, supposedly Saints want a 1st rounder for Peyton, will they get that, who knows?  That somewhat levels the field though I'd think.

I think it’s more than just a first round pick that NO is gonna want back in compensation for Payton.

I heard Denver is going after Payton during the offseason. Idk how much draft picks they’d have to give up to NO though

They need an offensive coach to fix that offense and get Wilson playing like he used to. Going after Payton does make sense.

Chargers, especially if they are 1 and done in the playoffs.

Staley is 100 percent expendable for Harbaugh (or Payton).

I disagree, I think Herbert and company saved Staley from getting fired. I think Staley gets 1 more year. Harbaugh I can see going to Miami just because Ross has been chasing him for what it seems to be the last decade or so

Harbaugh should stay at Michigan and try to finish what he started. Payton should leave his Saints legacy intact, and remain in retirement. I understand the itch to coach in the NFL again. I get these guys being motivated to return, but as a neutral observer, I’m not convinced they’ll be successful returning at this point in their career.

I didn’t know that about Payton. But geez, no way a team gives up a top five pick (Indy, Denver, Houston) for a HC, but I think Payton is head and shoulders above Harbaugh if we were to compare them as potential NFL head coaches.

What teams will be looking for coaches? Broncos, Colts for sure. Anyone else?

You could add Miami to that list. Also I highly doubt Harbaugh or Payton entertains the colts job. Irsay has turned into his father and I don’t know anyone who’s a top tier coach is going to want to work with Irsay and that FO.

I don’t know, Harbaugh brought a less talented 49ers team to the Super Bowl, while Payton frittered away many seasons with Brees at QB. I’m not convinced one is significantly better than the other.

Denver's only first rounder is the one from Miami that they got in the Bradley Chubb trade.

The annual Jim Harbaugh back to the NFL thread based on what some guy said it on Twitter.  If it's near the end of NFL season & there are coaching jobs, someone will Tweet it.  Congrats to Bruce Feldman for being the 2023 guy.

I’ve been seeing rumors on Twitter that Mike McDaniel could be 1 and done if they don’t beat the jets on Sunday. Ross has always had an obsession with bringing Harbaugh to Miami.

he may have saved his arse for another season season with that Stidham move. Couldn’t have worked out any better

If Harbaugh does come back I'd stay far away from the Broncos and Russ Wilson dumpster fire no matter how much money and control they dangle in front of him.

Yes Hackett was in over his head, but no matter who the coach is there they won't win with a QB who is finished especially in the same division as the Chiefs and Chargers given their respective QB situations.

Dude, that team was absolutely loaded all over the baord.

That’s fair, seems like a lifetime ago. I suppose I’m more offense minded, and when I think Payton vs Harbaugh, my brain instantly goes to Brees. I remember that 49ers team having some great defensive players, but recall very little beyond that. Harbaugh took a team that went 6-10 without him to the Super Bowl two years later, so I give him a lot of credit for that.

I doubt it, he salvaged Tua and is still in the mix in week 18

Don’t be shocked especially if Harbaugh is looking for a way back in the NFL. Ross has been chasing him for almost a decade. This might Ross’s last shot at getting him. Payton’s not going to Miami so that pretty much leaves Harbaugh IF he wants that job.

Harbaugh isn’t a slam dunk… it wouldn’t be shocking if some owners don’t like him. Same for players.

This would be awesome.

I often find myself in wonderment and even awe at the jaw-dropping level of stupidity frequently displayed by Jim Harbaugh while wearing a headset.

Mojo Nixon has him pegged perfectly.....

Extremely unlikely. There's nothing being reported from the organization that there is unhappiness with McDaniel. They're also very much behind Tua as the starter next year and reports about them being in on Carr/Garropolo/Etc is extremely unlikely.

Tua will not be in Miami next year and if Tua is gone so will McDaniel

Yes, excellent source there. Did they use instragram as their source this time?

These type of sites throw a bunch of crap at the wall and see what sticks.
