I think the Dolphins collapse is even worse b/c there plenty of people saying they would overtake the Bills and win the division. Don't think any reasonable person was picking the Jets to win hte division. He's been in the WCO his whole career, they hired McDaniels and had him learn the Erhardt-Perkins system and playcalling language. Yeah, I actually had to go look because I thought people would blame that 5 game losing streak on playing without Tua. He was blasted by his fellow commentators. The Jets lost their last 5 games just as he predicted. It was amazing. Key difference is that when they were 7-4 and 8-3, both teams played an easy schedule. When they started playing tough teams, they got exposed.
