First time I’ve seen Josh in a National commercial.

This was the second national commercial which featured him. The other one was a goofy one where he is practicing broadcasting for a post-career gig. I think it was an ESPN commercial but not sure

Friday morning reflections....

1. Kevin Stefanski is a good offensive coach and he is calling some nice games to allow Brissett to have some success. He is on my list of current Head Coaches who I wouldn't mind as Bills OC if Josh keeps getting his guys Head Coaching jobs.

2. The Browns don't have a lot of weapons in the passing game and before they get a full year of Watson next year they have to find a way to upgrade. It is Cooper, Njoku and a bunch of JAGs.

3. Talking of offensive weaponary people need to stop telling that Diontae Johnson is some sort of elite receiver. He drops way too many balls. In an offense struggling like Pittsburgh's you can't have your #1 guy dropping three first downs a game. He is dangerous once the ball is in his hands. But his hands are below average.

4. I don't know if it is Matt Canada encouraging him to get on the move because of his mobility or whether Mitch has zero feel but he needs to stop bailing clean pockets. It was Tyrod Taylor like last night watching Mitch roll out of the pocket only to look up and see that the play that was there needed to be made from the pocket.

5. I don't think the Steelers are completely dead yet because even without Watt they have some pieces up front. That Cleveland offensive line is probably the best in the NFL and Heyward, Ogunjobi and Highsmith still had their moments. If that dline can help them eek out another win or two on the front 9 and then they get Pickett in there and he does okay second half of the year... it isn't beyond the realm of possibility they could end up right around the .500 mark again. Jets next week is a must win though.

Not even really interested in watching.  Will probably skip this one.

That's your prerogative- this is the AFC's oldest series. Yeah the Steelers have pretty much dominated the thing since 1999 but it's way better than the NFC East overhyped rivalries you see on national TV all the time.

I like the NFCN rivalries, personally

That's fine. The old Redskins-Cowboys games were really good, even if geographically it doesn't make sense lol.

I used to want the Bills in the AFC Central/North.  But the NYJets rivalry would get split up. Buffalo, Cle, Putt, & Cincy...that would be really cool. Backyard rivalries

The story I remember during the realignment exercise was that Ralph specifically DIDN'T want the Bills to end up in the "Rust Bowl" division for two reasons:

1) They'd have been an afterthought in an afterthought division, buried forever behind the Steelers;

2) They'd have been pulled away from major media markets in New York, Boston and Miami.  They would have become essentially irrelevant.

Never knew that. Then again, who really knew how much the NFL would grow back in the merger days.

Agree, regardless of how good those teams are at any given time, there’s something special about Midwest football. It feels like pro football the way it’s meant to be. Teams with tradition and great fanbases who always show up. The lack of fan enthusiasm comes right through the television in many other markets, and having the Giants and Cowboys always on national TV becomes a bore.

Wonder if the Steelers would part with Claypool for a mid-round pick.  They’ve got a glut of receivers of similar talent/profile.  I would LOVE him in this offense.

I’d like Claypool in Buffalo too, but I can’t see any reason why the Stillers would trade him. He’s their most talented WR…

I’d give that to Pickens…but he’s showing to be a rookie Prima donna and that’s not a good look.

3 catches for 39 yards and I didn't see him separate much. His one handed catch was amazing, catch of the year for sure. But it's hard to make a living as just a contested catch specialist in the NFL. The only guy I've seen do it recently is Mike Williams.

He has a bit of Gabe Davis in him, where he seems to get a step on DB’s, despite not being a burner… but he’s definitely not the deep threat Gabe is.

His game at UGA was heavy deep shot/intermediate/contested catch stuff.

Watching non-Bills football has really become a chore.

I watched for the second week in a row through an "alternative online method" which was riddled with technical problems throughout the second half.  The stream would just randomly jump back in time out of nowhere, then jump forward again, then go back, and it would cut away from live action often just when you wanted to see what would happen in the next second or two.

It was almost enough for me to just turn it off, but it was a pretty solid, close game throughout.

Anyone else run into this problem?

I'm right on the edge of just skipping TNF for the season.  Al Michaels REALLY helps to make me want to watch.

I don't see either team doing much this year.

Both look like they will be miss the postseason by a game or 2 or 3.
