They just talked about it on WGR, so I looked it up and found this story:  https://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/ny-giants-jets-new-jersey-fan-lawsuit-20220105-md7uxrsvmzb5djnlwexshvyzb4-story.html

This could lead to a Buffalonian suing the Bills for playing in Orchard Park. the WFT for playing in Maryland & the SF 49ers for playing in Santa Clara.

Is there a bigger head-scratcher than the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim?

Utah Jazz.   They stole NO team.  New Orleans Jazz perfect name.  NO birthplace of jazz, and lively jazz scene.  Utah is pretty white.  Not only is Utah thieves for stealing NO team, they are lazy thieves.  They didn't even bother to change name

Los Angeles Lakers.  The lakes are in Minnesota, land of 10,000 lakes.  Where are all the lakes in LA?

You mean a New Yorker bitchin about something trying to scam a company out of money so they can sit on their fat ass & do nothing who'd ah thunk it ??

They need to tell them if they don't like it to sit at the house & watch the game it's a lot cheaper ...

When I lived in Long Island in the 1980s I drove to a few games at the old Giants Stadium.  Sometimes I drove through Manhattan to get there.  Manhattan is very close to East Rutherford via the Lincoln Tunnel.  If the clown owned a car it wouldn't take him very long to get to Met-Life.

Would be shocked if either franchise even offers $ to settle.

But I love it.

Edit: Hope they’re seeking injunctive relief that would include making them change their names to NJ Jets & Giants.

They're probably going to counter sue him for their legal fees.  The guy will owe the Giants & Jets thousands when he's done,

Yeah, that's a great one. Living in Orange County CA (Anaheim is in OC, for those that don't know, Disneyland is in Anaheim very near where the Angels and Ducks play), I followed that story closely. The Angels wanted money from Anaheim to pay for stadium upgrades shortly after the LA Lambs stopped sharing the stadium with them and moved to St. Louis. The agreement was that the Angels had to change their name from CA Angels to Anaheim Angels. Pretty sure this was when Disney owned both the Ducks and Angels. Then, Disney sold the Angels a few years later and the new owner felt that if the team was called LA Angels it would generate more interest and therefore more $. After lawsuits, they compromised on that absurd name. So, the owner got their LA and Anaheim was able to keep themselves as part of the name. And, of course the Angels never changed stadiums.

Takes a lot of 'jazz' to have 5 wives...what, that's not the word I am looking for? 🤔

As for the lawsuit, after attorney fees are deducted, enough for 4 beers and a soft pretzel.

There is a common misconception about the Lakers nickname glossed over by many.

Lakers nickname was coined by a media guy when Lakers moved to MN. Inspired by the "Land of 10,000 Lakes" state motto.

In reality they are named after the Lakes only secondary in relation to the true meaning of what a Laker is.

A laker is a lake trout that live in most MN lakes. Also a shipping ship that trolls the Great Lakes. It is not a lake or people that live on or around lakes etc etc..

LA and Cali do not have a lot of lakes but the ones they do have, have lake trout in them. So they are the Lakers that are in the nickname.

They could develop a mean ferocious lake trout logo if they desired and it would fit. Since laker ships do not troll Cali lakes a ship would not fit.

Well, I went to a Bills game and there was no live Buffalo anywhere roaming the city. I believe Tre White TRIED to address this a couple years back. To me that screams that they had knowledge of the fraud and continue to mislead. I'm suing for 2.5 billion dollars, a stadium with a dome, and insist that Patrick Mahomes gets deported (along with his sideshow circus family) to Sweden.
