Bills' Spencer Brown fined $5K for celebrating TD with fan's beer

Just add it to the number of other good choices he made from that game 😂

I'm not bothered by it at all, but man, I can't remember a game when a Bills O-linemen was so visible & in the spotlight (and for all the wrong reasons). Usually, they fly under the radar & get some praise/criticism on specific plays, but Brown wanted to make damn sure the commentators reminded us of his name all day long lol

  • Haha (+1) 1

What is the actual rule he broke here? Players are now allowed to have (in some cases fairly elaborate) TD celebrations. Was this for “using a prop?” I mean, I personally wouldn’t drink from a random fan’s beer, but isn’t the $18 backwash enough punishment for this celebration?

edit: rookie move. I posted without reading the article. It was indeed for using a “prop.” No fun league indeed.

So. When Bobby Lane drank beer & whiskey during games in the 50’s, it wasn’t a prop?😳🤦‍♂️
