I love a good offseason thread.

It’s gonna be a lonnnnnnnnng offseason with all the expected cuts too. We’re already starting threads to trade assets for one of our strongest positions for a guy on the last year of his rookie deal that we’ll have to pay huge LT money. Yay not one, but 2 left tackle contracts 😂😂

Yeah, I get that Dawkins isn't the first question to be answered about the OL.   And the cost isn't going to be small, but it's that simple?  No?

You asked. They gave you the correct answer.

Not worth exploring, particularly if he wants to be an LT.

Dawkins is our best offensive linemen, he is homegrown talent, the team has other needs and little salary cap to play around with.  So, yes, simply "no"!!

you take em as they come...

brown is a pro bowl OT....of course he's worth pick #30

when dawkins makes the pro bowl, then he can keep his spot

You need to think deeper then this..

questions you need to ask?

A. Can Dawkins play RT?  he did a little in college but struggled

B. Can Dawkins play G? this has been talked about a lot in prior years. no

C. What's the cap hit and can we get our worth back for Dawkins on a trade? short answer... no

sometimes things are not as simple as... yea he's better so lets get him.

The great part of all of this is you have great players wanting to come to Buffalo... Means your not over paying as much on contracts

BIG eye roll to this

What kind of offense do the Ravens run?  Are they a great passing or a great rushing offense?

Did Brown make the probowl as a passing OT, or a rushing OT?

Next year is Brown's last year on his rookie deal - what exactly are you giving up a #30 pick for

Scuttlebutt on the Ravens forum (Russell Street Report) is that the Jaguars have offered up Pick 33 for him... Assume if this is the case you would be working out a longer term deal to go with the trade...

Yep.. make of that what you will...

Its a moot point because he aint coming here anyway ....

Yea I think anyone who trades for him would have to have prior agreement with Baltimore to work out a contract with him so that it is a trade and sign. The Jags make a ton of sense. Cam Robinson is a FA and in any event has never risen above replacement level at the position. If they can come away with Lawrence, an impact player at #25 and Orlando Brown that is a very good haul.
