Rob Ryan To The Ravens

Wow, so not only do the Ravens have the better quarterback than we do, they now have the better coaching staff. While we're busy preparing for the AFC Championship game the Ravens are busy getting better. Beane and McDermott asleep at the wheel AGAIN!!

Is there a dearth of actual talent at these coaching positions nationally? Because the league just keeps rehiring he same failed coaches over and over at an alarming rate, after a while one might think some new blood would be a good thing for the coaching gene pool🧬

I'm surprised Rex hasn't surfaced as someone's DC.

I wonder how much an inside linebackers coach gets paid.

Maybe Rex will come back to be the left defensive end coach.

Rex did build a good defense in New Jersey they did go to two AFCCG and beat Brady on the road ,

Then OCs figured out how to expose his defense and he failed to adjust.

One of the stupidest things (one of many) that Rex did was, after losing 100 lbs, he had his lap band removed because Rob had to have his removed.  “Pass the gravy, Rob.”

Well, hopefully he employs his brother’s antiquated and too complicated defense in part so we don’t have to worry about seeing them again in the playoffs.

This is really not a Harbaugh like move.  He’s normally smarter than this one.

Rob and Wink Martindale go back a while I believe. Think Wink was on Rob's defensive staff in Oakland in the 00s. Suspect that is where this came from.

Well until last year, he was still getting 5.5 million a year from the Bills, so that'd be a good reason why.

I wouldn't want to coach if I was getting a free $16 million. The offset language meant that even if he took another job, he wouldn't make anymore money. Terry and Kim just had to pay the difference. So he would essentially have been working for free.

Right. Which is not at all uncommon in the NFL.
