QOP embraces mediocrity - every single day

Yep! Freedom and self determination get in the way all the time....darn it all! If only we could live in a country where some government stooge told us what to do every day. That would be way better!

Remember when Democrats called it a massive infringement of rights and violation of freedoms just to have a pregnant woman seeking an abortion to read a pamphlet?  But all this is just fine.

Random thoughts as I read Cuomo's response to the CDC lifting the 14 day quarantine rule.

His order by the way, explicitly says states with 10% or higher percent positive rate.  Virginia is still on the list and we have been around 6% for over a month.

He essentially is saying "from whatever state I say."

This is in libs DNA.  It cannot be given power.  Ever.

So first confirmed case of someone being reinfected with the virus, 149 days after his last. Good news is he has no symptoms which is what you want with immunity, which hopefully when more information comes out it will make more people realize that yes this will be around for a long time but it isn't to be feared especially if you went through it once already.

Thanks to Cuomo looks like no Fan's in stadium for Bill's game. He's holding NY like hostage like.  Really don't like Cuomo at all. For what he's doing NY during covid19

CDC reverses COVID-19 guidance, says testing may not be needed after exposure
The change comes as experts continue to push for more testing, not less.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention quietly tweaked its guidance on COVID-19 testing Monday, making a change that could result in fewer people being tested and hinder contact tracing efforts.

The guidance now states that healthy people who have been exposed to COVID-19 "do not necessarily need a test," as long as they don't have symptoms. That's a reversal from previous advice that clearly recommended testing for all close contacts of infected individuals, regardless of whether they had symptoms.

Interesting. Link to study, yet to be peer reviewed, is in the article. The earliest reported cases here in NC were linked to this conference of Biogen employees who attended it from the RTP, NC site.

This will be a long term fallout and will be seen for years.

But JoJo said he'd do it again, right now, for 4-6 weeks.  That would fix everything:

Yes...it’s be much better if he stood up there and took ‘full responsibility’ like Hilary always did/does but then turned around and did nothing. Yes...that’d be way better! How’s your civics class coming?

It’s not. This place has become a mess. I’m betting you wouldn’t even recognize it. Trash, crumbling infrastructure, homeless everywhere, horrific traffic, etc. The changes in the ‘Golden State’ are noticeable everywhere...and not for the better.

Actually I went ‘home’ in February to LA. What a ***** mess. It was not a positive change. Hollywood was a trash heap. Worse than ever. The Beaches?  Brutal. Spent time in SD and Silicon Valley too. Happy I left.

It’s happened so slowly that nobody even notices it. But leave for a few years and come back and it has to be unrecognizable. The nicer neighborhoods are protected in little spots here and there but get out into the public domain and it’s a true dump! The occasional palm tree doesn’t compensate for all of the trash piled up around its base.

Went to see Joe Rogan at the Improv and then drove East through Hollywood to go to a club around Vine area.
it looked like Johannesburg. Revolting.

Five COVID-19 Charts Democrats Can’t Let You Know About

Issues & Insights, by The Editorial Board

Original Article

If the Democratic National Convention made anything clear, it is that Democrats are entirely invested in making the coronavirus pandemic look worse than it is in the United States. Almost every speaker decried the response and blamed President Donald Trump for the scale of the disease in the country. In his acceptance speech, Joe Biden said “Just judge this president on the facts. Five million Americans infected by COVID-19. More than 170,000 Americans have died. By far the worst performance of any nation on Earth.” Later he said, “We lead the world in confirmed cases. We lead the world in deaths.”

The only "insight" this offers is how the authors don't understand what they are talking about - or do - and are simply feeding the minions like you.

If the US has  a very high testing ratio per capita - it will push down the fatality "rate" the author uses as a good stat - which the insight dudes to extrapolate for the whole article. Different countries have different testing rates - which means you can't compare death rates..

Yes - we are bad...6 months plus into this thing...we have 10x the deaths per day than the EU - same population size, same intel, same virus, same timing. If we had the current EU stats of 125 deaths per day...you would have college football, you would be tailgating in 2 weeks, schools would be open, and you could go out to dinner.

Speaking of not understanding ....

The US Northeast had very similar rates to the 5 hotspots in Europe.  The rest of the US also has very similar rates as the rest of Europe that wasn't hard hit.  To translate it for you, 4 states in the northeast account for 15% of confirmed cases, but 35% of confirmed deaths, and have a 3 times the death rate of the other 56 states.  So tell me how the country that isn't run by the Cuomo cult has done a horrible job.
