After this crazy a55 lockdown, I would hope the American public will never fall for a hoax like this again.

When red-state governors threw open the doors of businesses and public venues a few weeks ago — before infection rates dropped and without a robust testing or tracing system and strict social-distancing guidelines — the result was entirely predictable. Red-state governors boasted that they had a better idea than the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. They insisted they were smarter and tougher than governors following a go-slow approach. On May 19, I wrote: “If premature, rash and uninformed decision-making leads to unnecessary deaths, governors, candidly, will have blood on their hands. And the country will have a catastrophe in the making.” That is precisely what happened.

The Post reports: “Texas and its largest city, Houston — the fourth biggest in the country — are reaching new peaks in coronavirus hospitalizations amid a wave of warnings from officials that infections in many states are surging.” Hospitalizations in Texas reached more than 2,200 on Saturday. But it’s not just Texas. The Post notes that “hospitalizations related to the virus are up more than 10 percent since Memorial Day in at least 10 states — more than 120 percent in Arkansas and nearly 75 percent in Arizona."

Those three red states are paying the price for their governors’ arrogant and reckless disregard of expert advice. The red-state governors, who curried favor with President Trump by putting the economy over health, must be held accountable for the horrible result.

What's the mortality rate? No one should care one flip what the infection rate is, especially since we are testing more and more, because we want to get to a decent immunity rate. As long as mortality rates are still falling that is what we want to see.

If the horrible result comes, then let's talk. Until then, this is just data masquarading as bad news.

Case counts have never been that reliable of an indicator of much. Same with % positive, which was just a rough approximation of an improving picture as test numbers increased.

Well, that's because THESE protests (and apparently the associated riots) are simply citizens (and maybe non-citizens, who knows?) taking part in expressing their Constitutional rights protected by the 1st amendment to have their grievances against the government heard.

Whereas those other gatherings were much smaller groups of people freely associating with like minded people who share a common religious background.  Neither of which rise to the same level of Constitutionally protected 1st amendment rights.

Silly rabbit, don't you know only some rights are actually rights?  And Burgermeister Meisterburger DeBlasio is and should be the only arbiter of what the distinction between those rights are.

Besides, joining a protest march is the only known method of vaccinating oneself (temporarily?) from the virus.  It's science.

Slowing the Coronavirus Is Speeding the Spread of Other Diseases.

“Many mass immunization efforts worldwide were halted this spring to prevent spread of the virus at crowded inoculation sites.

The consequences have been alarming.”

Wait so vaccines work? Who knew?

Arizona Hospital admissions slightly down over the past couple weeks.

Census is the number to watch. Strange that it’s been rising as cases are level.

LOL at the Covid scares on the main board.

Absolutely hilarious over there. Trying to argue that everyone needs to be locked down after hanging up the sign from the massive protest you just got back from.

All is forgiven if your heart (feelz?) is in the right place.

Holy *****, you're not kidding. It's amazing seeing posters rallying behind Logic (who is completely unhinged) as the voice of reason.

It's like Antifa, when you give yourself a good sounding name, how can anyone doubt your credentials, rhetoric or logic?

It's a little scary seeing how many posters defend Antifa's actions or flat out deny that they're a dangerous organization. Some are more surprising and disappointing than others.

It's one of the more poetic parts of this whole mini-era of history we're living in. The masks have slipped as we the people have been ordered to put them on.

This is where I'm at.

When Americans that protested the lock down peacefully the media and left wing government portrayed them as domestic terrorists. Super spreaders being being selfish attempting the crime of freedom! No violence. No criminal activity and a lot of them were armed.  Now real terrorist groups like Antifa and BLM are "peaceful protesters" as they murder, burn and destroy.

I just chimed in on the Stadium wall.  Judging by the opinions I have read there on COVID, I’m guessing they won’t like my opinion. lol

Good news, Big brother has stepped in to remove any non-approved covid talk or points in that thread.
