This is why he may become available this offseason and he is better than anyone we have now.

But you can't say Beane gave him up for nothing.

And obviously Duke Williams is better lolol.

Really though, I think John Brown is better, but Watkins would be valuable on our roster if the price is right. Could be a cheap market with the WR talent in the draft.

I think it's clear that the Bills would have benefitted from having a better WR ever on the roster. You can bicker about Watkins, but to say "Would the Bills go to the Super Bowl, if they had any of these players now?" is ridiculous...the answer is "YES" they would likely be a bit better, and maybe good enough to have advanced.

So ***** off.

Yes they do.  And had Watkins been able to stay healthy and our cap situation were different,  I would have liked to have kept him.

Watkins is a WR2, right now he has Hill and Kelce.  Hammy can't do it on his own.

This is stupid and revisionist history. Watkins is an afterthought in the best offense in the league. A blind squirrel enjoys the occasional nut. Beane won that trade by a large margin.

meh. Trading Watkins for a 2 then a 3 for Benjamin isn’t all that exciting when you could’ve rode Watkins and gotten a comp 3.

It was fine. But I doubt he’s bragging to friends about it.

Trading Watkins for a 2 was a good trade, especially when you factor in the 6th for Gaines as part of the package. But you're right that the Benjamin trade was awful.

Again he had one year with injuries.....  Missed 8 games...  Happens

And we were in cap hell, in need of a QB.  The problem with fans, is we're making our decisions in a vacuum.  Beane can't do that.  His predecessor did.

Trading for Benjamin is another issue. Getting rid of an underperforming head case and getting high value for him was a good move.

He was under contract.....  See what he does in 2017 & then can sign or franchise him......

Exactly. It's just kind of perplexing that he went and traded for a different underperforming head case within a year. Benjamin must have been a different guy his first couple seasons in the league.
